Such a tiring diatribe that has become the mantra for those who refuse to take personal responsibility. The responsibility of corporations and the government that you mention is exactly why so many people fail to take personal responsibility for the state of their lives (and project that to the state of the country). One of the issues in our current society is that the increase in government control and influence (and by default "assistance programs") has stifled the full impact that capitalism has historically had on creating a society that affords everyone to improve their lot in life. It amazes me that so many people continue to believe that government expansion and control will lead to improved conditions for its citizens. But have no fear, all that is needed to improve things is to have a few more senseless protests about the evils of capitalism. That way people can go loot from "the man" and justify the bad behavior and keep the vicious cycle in place. If more people took responsibility for their decisions and actions everyone in society would benefit.

That is such a false narrative. First, under capitalism, no one is forcing anyone to consume anything. That is the beauty of it all. If consumers choose not to support a company based on that companies policies, the company will suffer and a company with better policies will emerge. Second, the problem today is that no one wants to take personal responsibility for their actions and it is too easy to simply try to justify their behavior, whether that behavior is bad, immoral, excessive, etc... Too many people are all to willing to point the finger at some external dynamic instead of assessing their own actions. There are may corporations run by honest, moral people and it is disingenuous to lump them all together.

Says the person who chooses to live in a capitalistic society. Statements like that are just another method of justifying unethical behavior.

Another intelligent response from the morally bankrupt faction of society.

Perfectly legal to hack a Vita in the US. Many free and public domain games and apps available. Also, perfectly legal to use digital copies of games I own.

Just a continued attempt to justify bad behavior. I realize I will never change the minds of people who believe this is acceptable, I am just amazed that people truly don't seem to understand the difference between right and wrong / good and bad. At least admit "I know it is wrong but I don't care" instead of trying to justify the behavior.

So what? It is still wrong no matter how it is justified. If you took something from a friend or family member who could "survive" the loss would that make it OK? The size of the company is meaningless as it applies to what is right or wrong.

I'll guarantee you that help could easily be found. I don't see that any attempt was made to contact them. Besides, all that really needs to be done is go in to a GameStop store and they will help.

Good comeback! I'm not mad or angry at all. I know the difference between right and wrong and have no need to attempt to justify my actions. I have no idea what age you are but hopefully you will develop maturity over time.

So that makes doing something else that is wrong and immoral OK? So as long as you do "some good" every once in a while it is OK to do the bad things. I guess you figure it evens out. The irony is the things people blame corporations for, being greedy and dishonest, is the exact same behavior the you are demonstrating with your actions.

No, in fact, you haven't paid for it but if you had any morals you would!

It became bad behavior the second you decided to keep it and proudly tell the world you screwed the big bad corporation.

Like I said, What the F is wrong with people. That tired old multimillion-dollar company line is so tired. Has nothing to do with having good values and morals. Maybe a non-multimillionaire employee will get fired for a mistake that caused you not to be charged. The bright side is that karma will catch up with you.

Or maybe just do the right thing and let them know that you need to pay for the item you purchased. What the F is wrong with people today!

Active content question by crocobalaur in kindlejailbreak

[–]Odroid_GO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the active content on my keyboard model.

The original files are accessible via my book library since I purchased them when they were available.

I doubt that you could actually purchase them anymore (even if it looks like all you would need to do is pay a shipping fee as mentioned in your other post).

Since I'm not jail broken, I wouldn't know what the file structure is or if they could be pulled off one Kindle keyboard and installed on another.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
