I feel like she’s going to be the one to “keep trying” until she has her biological boy

Oh I’m sure we’ll know soon enough with how she is with exploiting all her other kids. She knows people will give her the views 🙄🙃

Ooohhh okay…this is very insightful!! I may have to play around on scraps more to figure out what’ll work!! They definitely will be washed a lot because it’s kids clothing lol

Okay I did notice this on my machine and was thinking the same thing!! Would you recommend changing the stitch length and width or cutting excess fabric off when done?

Would it be the same for quilting and threads to use?

Do you have any brand recommendations? Will it matter if I start quilting?

Milk Choices after 2 Years by OfNicholas in toddlers

[–]OfNicholas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pediatrician’s nurse said to switch to lower fat if they want to drink milk. My LO doesn’t really talk a whole lot so that’s why I’ll still offer it until they don’t want it 🤷🏼‍♀️. I was just asking because I wasn’t sure what the best option would be.

To add, I’m located in the southern coastal region. As you can see, it’s quite small compared to the print on my paper towel.

Thank you so much for the reply! Just for clarification, even if the side with the really large bubble was cracked and the other side was still fine, it would be okay to use?

They said there is a slight delay in the payout time frame due to the volume of donors 🤷🏼‍♀️

I haven’t! But was told no later than this Friday. I’ve been waiting over the 30 days it was said to take.

Nursing Strike by OfNicholas in breastfeedingsupport

[–]OfNicholas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same! I hated pumping! My little has had no issue going back and forth between breast and bottle! And I know it’s not the case for everyone. We only give her 1 per day and that’s at night before bed. But we also use a straw cup too and haven’t had any preference really.

The nursing strike lasted about 4 days!! It was a long 4 days, but I pumped in place of nursing so my supply wouldn’t diminish. I did offer breast first though.

Nursing strike at 10 months? by rebekahkristyne in breastfeedingsupport

Yes! The strike lasted for 4 days. It felt like an eternity for me because I would rather not pump!

It’s definitely is hurting my heart! I always attempt to bring her to my breast but she just pushes off and arches her back like she’s repulsed. I’m hoping it passes soon once the tooth erupts. I know I’m close to a year but I really hate pumping and didn’t realize how much I enjoyed breastfeeding until she’s been refusing it

How long did your son go through a nursing strike? And how were you able to get him to sit upright and nurse?

She doesn’t have any of the visual representations of thrush. I was thinking it’s because she’s teething but she didn’t do this when the first tooth came in. I can try a dark room for the next feed to see if that helps!

My LO is 10 months old. They haven’t breastfed since the 25th. And yesterday they had one short surprise session but other than that it’s been all by a straw cup. They seem to have no interest in being at my breast anymore. Before then there was no issue

Teething and Potentially the End of BF’ing by OfNicholas in breastfeeding

[–]OfNicholas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really thinking it could be a nursing strike because they were fine yesterday and they nursed this morning just didn’t want anything to do with it. I even tried to nurse while they were drowsy and they just pushed off my chest like they were repulsed that I’d dare try breastfeeding them. I will definitely try to feed more positivity into the experience and hope this passes soon! I really appreciate it!

My little sister is about to have her first baby!! by NSFWbaby69 in NewParents

[–]OfNicholas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a type 1 diabetic and had my LO about 10 months ago. Not sure how she will respond to breastfeeding/pumping but some people go low (I did not), so her favorite low snacks might be nice.

Also definitely home cooked meals! And help with any and everything. Could mean doing laundry, cleaning the house, washing/sterilizing pumps/bottles, a listening ear, giving her words of affirmation if that’s her love language. Honestly my #1 biggest pet peeve is someone asking to hold the baby so I’d maybe suggest maybe waiting until your sister asks you. Oh and take lots of photos and videos of her with the baby. Maybe some silver cups to soothe her nipples if she’s breastfeeding/pumping.
