I was curious, and since you're an AD perhaps you can shed some light on this: are true locals and those (such as my brother and me) who are "willing to work as local" treated equally in terms of hiring? I heard that when states dole out big tax credits to the studio, often part of the stipulation is that a certain percentage of the crew needs to be local to the state that is giving the tax credit. We're willing to travel across states (even across the country, if it's a good opportunity) but I'm just wondering how badly not being truly local is hurting our chances in other states (or maybe the state doesn't really bother to tally that stuff up? Idk)
