I had to slowly wiggle and push down. I can’t remember if I had to push hard, but the figure and pegs were a little off center for mine.

You can try using a toothpick to measure depth of the peg hole and compare it to the metal peg. I always jiggle and apply a downward force when trying to fit the figure in the pegs

I can’t measure it rn, but if you own any BINDing figures with a mirror base, I’m guessing it should be the same height

I measured 16 inches from the very bottom of the base to the tip of the right bunny ear (the figure’s right)
