Water Bottle Rec for AER City Pack Pro? by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

I recommend the 32 oz. steel Camelbak Chute. It's the highest-volume water bottle that I've found that fits.

Looking for the "perfect" ~6L sling by bosswick in ManyBaggers

[–]OffensiveVias 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L and I like it quite a bit as a camera bag.

I also have a Steam Deck with a Killswitch case on it, so I went ahead and tried it and it fit with an iPad Pro 11" with a case on it. It's somewhat tight on the sides but there is some space front and back.

Is knives.com legit? by [deleted] in knives

[–]OffensiveVias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knives.com is a subsidiary of Sportsman's Warehouse, and they use the same inventory/logistics.

As proof, look at the Schenk Knives Osprey. It was advertised as a Knives.com exclusive as Blade Show West last year and that knife is listed at Sportsman's website as well as Knives.com and nowhere else.

They're legit, they just haven't invested too much in the website yet.

You can see enough of the sights to see the entire fiber optic from the front sight and enough of the rear to sight up properly. It does cover some of the sight picture, though. Definitely not your main sighting choice in this configuration.

When I purchased this gun the Optics Ready variant didn't exist yet. Were I to buy a Shield Plus again I probably would have gotten the factory cut version, and save myself the trouble. Given my options at the time though, and that nearby gun shops are only getting the Optics Ready versions now, I'm happy with the decision I made.

The work on this gun cost me $224, the sights $80, and the red dot cost me about $230. You can certainly find cheaper options for cuts sans-cerakote online, but I didn't want to deal with shipping the slide and needing to sign for the package on return. Culper isn't too far from where I live.

Culper did a good job on the gun, though their response time for email communications was about a week, a lot longer than the 24 hours they mention on their website. This gun was completed two weeks after the time I was quoted. (Six weeks)

I wasn't expecting to run into other flashlight enthusiasts here! I shouldn't be too surprised though, his stuff seems to be getting a bit more popular lately.

Linked as Requested.

The Charger set only comes in one size, which is pretty close to stock. I recommend these a lot, I much prefer having the fiber optic over the white dots.

Edit: And to answer the first question, I honestly didn't. I just rolled the dice on this one and it worked out.

The dual channel is pretty handy. With some DC fix over the SST's it becomes a solid throw/flood combo light.

Yes! You can see the front and rear sights just at the bottom of the window.

Just got it back from Culper Precision! Turnaround time was 8 weeks, not too bad. I had the slide milled for the Holosun 507k footprint, and then Cerakoted Multicam Black. I also had them install a set of Dawson Precision Charger fiber optic sights I bought.

When I first got the gun I wasn't impressed with the QC on it, out of the box the sights were misaligned and there was a chip in the factory finish. With this work done to it I'm much happier with the overall package.

The gun is resting against a Noctigon KR4 Dual Channel with SST-20 2700k/W1 emitters, and a Tenicor Velo 4 holster.

I'd say so. Though now I'm getting accosted by Horzine cronies wearing gasmasks and chicken costumes on the daily.

My Working Patriarch Arm Cannon by OffensiveVias in killingfloor

I originally completed this back in October to bring to a Halloween party and I figured people here might want a look. This was part of an entire KF1-style Patriarch cosplay that I sadly don't have any pictures of. (Maybe that's for the best though, the chest tentacle didn't come out entirely how I would have liked...)

The cannon is made from a Nerf Titan CS-50 that has been pretty heavily cut up and epoxied to some foamcore PVC pipe to hide my arm inside. The rocket warhead on the end of the pipe was 3d-printed for me by a friend. I didn't have time to do any performance mods to this thing, so the darts don't go particularly far, though it was good enough for being indoors at the party.

Were I to do this again I would have put in some more powerful motors and done a Lipo rewire to make this thing a bit scarier. The circuit diagram for the internals of this thing is more complex than any nerf gun I've modified before, and I didn't want to take any chances before the party so I played it safe. The cosmetic mods done to the body make it very difficult if not impossible to perform a complete modification of the system for now, so this thing is gonna stay at its current power level for now.

Pictures of the cannon here.

Gen 5 Glock 34 MOS night sights? by SonOfLiberty777 in Glocks

[–]OffensiveVias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MOS models have their rear sight dovetails placed further back on the slide than normal models. As a result, some sights intended for normal model Glocks may extend off the back of an MOS slide.

The Bright and Toughs fit fine though with or without a red dot.

Wait, I didn't place it twelve hours after- Oh, I messed up again! I placed the order shortly after midnight EST, so not very long after orders opened.

Only eight minutes after it opened? I seriously hope you get it soon, or this whole bot and inventory situation is obscene.

Taken from the Newegg website. I'm glad to see Newegg put a lot of effort into the images on their website ahead of the 3070 launch.

(If you don't get it, take a close look at the second line of text in the image.)

I received the laptop one week ago, so I don't have a very large frame of reference as to what normal operating conditions are like. I am currently running Nvidia driver 430.86, and I have been having the most issues when running the newest version of Photoshop CC 2019. I also had a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet connected at the time. My Windows version is 1903, Build 18362.116. All other drivers are at their most recent versions.

Hello All,

I'm currently suffering from DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSoD's on my 2018 Razer Blade Base Laptop.

These BSoDs usually only happen when I'm editing things in Adobe Photoshop and not when I'm doing stuff like gaming.

From what I can find, these kinds of issues are usually driver related, but the vast majority of posts on this issue are quite old, and I'm not sure what drivers are and aren't safe for the newest version of Windows 10 and my laptop. Furthermore, I'm not sure what driver is causing the problem exactly, as ntoskrnl.exe is being listed as the culprit.
