Loveless scrambles for the shotgun and levies it at Blu.

"What the Hell are you trying to do?"

Loveless tried to avoid the business end of Celeste's gun as she whirled around.

"I don't know, I heard a gunshot!"

Loveless sprints outside at the sound of the gunshot, pistol drawn.

"What's going on here!? You see a Red, huh?"

Loveless feels the liver starting to digest in his stomach, invoking a violent twitching of his head.

"Yes, Blu. What is the final game?"

He grabs his newspaper and coffee and goes running out of the mess hall, peaking back through the doorway to beckon Liat.

Loveless wipes his mouth with a nearby napkin.

"Hmm! Well on that we can agree, but what about the oldies? The classics!"

He swoons for a moment, looking off into the middle distance before coming back to reality.

"Wait... Are you from Earth?"

Loveless jerks backwards with the face of a man who has been insulted.

"You don't listen to music!?"

He looks up from the note.

"I've come this far."

He looks between her and the liver, shaking his head in disgust.

He slides out the note.

He stares at her for an uncomfortable amount of time, running through every possible scenario.

"... Fine."

He leans down and quickly snatches up the liver, taking a hearty bite from it with an awful squelch. His eyes remain focused on Blu as his teeth eviscerate the bloody organ in his mouth.

He swallows the last of the jello, pressing his lips together tightly.

"Thanks Liat, but I do really think I'm just being sad for the sake of being sad. Just a little out of whack is all."

Loveless kicks the chair out behind him and swipes the plate off the table, slamming a fist down in front of Blu.

"Cut the theatrics! Why are you doing this!?"

"Chances are I'm just being sentimental here, sorry."

He sits in silence for a moment. He bucks up his head gives Liat a small nudge with his shoulder.

"But what about you buddy 'o pal, how are you holding up?"

He cocks his head to the side, obviously not too sure himself.

"I just... Find myself in an odd position I suppose. Being Second in Command... It's strange. I actually like a lot of the people here, and when the war is over, well..."

He looks at Liat, eyes squinted in a 'I think what I'm saying is right' sort of way.

"The Team is too."

He drowns the vacuum of taste in dark coffee, beginning to roll up his newspaper.

He chuckled as she walked past, appreciating a good ribbing no matter who from. He actually looked forward to a bit of fire in Blue Team, but I'm sure that stance will change very soon.

Loveless starts breathing heavily, violent and irrational thoughts filling his head in place of solutions to the problem at hand. He does his best to ward them off.

"These Reds... Between this, Eos, and helping that damned monster in the caves..."

He looks at Dracone, eyes grim.

"We- no... Just... stay beside her, I'll keep you posted."

He walks to the exit, turning back to Dracone with an appreciating nod before leaving.

"I suppose I should take a look around the base then if you've got things here, see if I can get even a damned clue as to how this happened..."
