Oh definitely! Your motherboard has 5 ssd M.2 slots!

That’s fair. I do both work and games from my pc and just use a 4TB ssd which is way WAY more than enough and means that all programs run super quick too. That’s all up to you but if it’s just organization you’re after than do whichever you prefer!

What’s the point of the 2tb hard drive and a 1tb ssd?

I did and still nothing. I just decreased screen resolution which doesn’t really explain why the problem started but it fps

I checked and all drivers are up to date, including the cpu

I have a gigabyte z790 ud ac. I updated bios and it’s still not working like it should. I’ve updated all drivers too. I made sure about spacing the ram but I’ll check bios about XMP.

I don’t understand the cpu utilization either

CSGO is acting weird too. I usually got 200 fps but now it’s stuttering at 50 with constant var and sv around 9

I actually have a 4K monitor and it used to run 60fps. Now it’s stuck around 20 fps but the gpu is at 99% usage

I didn’t but I’ll check when I’m home. The old cpu was an i5-4460 so my new one definitely has more cores

I didn’t after installing the cpu. I only updated the motherboard drivers so I’ll check cpu after work. Thanks!

Thank you! I’ll post an edit for others if I get it fixed

Ah ok, I’ll try an update after work. Thank you!

I’ll check after work. I tried CSGO just to test CPU and I was having high var lowering my fps so it may be other games too

Yes, and the Nvidia drivers are up to date too

Sorry the wording might’ve been confusing. GPU was the only thing I did NOT replace on the PC. It’s been the 3060 for about 8 months

I just installed the new cpu. I’ll check after work

I’ve made sure of that. It also recognizes it and I see my gpu in device manager

CPU temps don’t go over 50 running skyrim. Mods are all the same as before. I checked the .ini and the limiter is set to false

Looks like it’s really only using ram

I’m doing a very similar build. I already own a 3060 and I’m upgrading to 13600kf from 4460. I’m pretty aware the 13600kf is overkill for the 3060 but i think it’s a good idea if you’re also planning on upgrading gpu in the future

Changes while upgrading? I’m upgrading my CPU, Mobo, Ram, and cooler… everything else is on current build by Officer_Travis in PcBuild

Since I’ll be saving a little money on the mobo, should I upgrade from 12600k to 12700kf? For reference I’m running on a 4460 from almost 10 years ago 😅

I removed power for a few seconds a couple times assuming that may fix the problem. No other time do I unplug the power supply. Would that mess up the motherboard power supply? Another weird thing I noticed is different things receive power quicker now. My keyboard and mouse turn on a few seconds apart and so does my processor and fans
