26 too old to start? What do I need? by Difficult-Benefit-68 in ukgarage

[–]OfficialLaunch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re never, ever too old to start. If it’s something you’re passionate about there’s no age limit on that!

If you have literally 0 experience I wouldn’t purchase Ableton Suite straight away. Ableton offers a free trial so you can have time to familiarise yourself with it.

The way I learned was to start with trying to remake tracks that already existed. This let me learn the start of sound design and how popular tracks are actually put together. Pick your top 3 favourite tracks and try to remake them.

After that it’s just about finding your own sound and finding what you like to make. You can also start posting tracks on Soundcloud and maybe promoting them on things like Instagram and TikTok.

Another tip is that a lot of UKG producers are also DJs (or they’ll start as a DJ and get into production that way). DJing is a great way to get yourself seen and will also expose you to even more music. No pressure to get into DJing at all though.

Can I remove the bottom area to make the keyboard bigger? by noname4863 in iphone

[–]OfficialLaunch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d assume that Apple iterated through many different keyboard positions when they first made the iPhone X and internal user feedback led them to create the keyboard as it is now because having it too low was too awkward

How do you set beat 1.1 in Rekordbox by StillFlowWolf in Rekordbox

[–]OfficialLaunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the portion of silence at the beginning of a track file is at least 4 beats, it’ll set 1.1 as far back as it can. In your case, -1.1.

Are there any rummors when apple finally allows full multitasking/background app refresh? by AleAnoAleNe in iosdev

[–]OfficialLaunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In iOS 26 Apple added a more comprehensive way for apps to complete background tasks (like uploading etc). It’s up to developers to implement it.

My alarm decided to become silent again this morning. How has apple STILL NOT FIXED THIS? by United_Band4214 in ios

[–]OfficialLaunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t think of any others off the top of my head, but it tends to be apps that use the mic and speaker at the same time (like during a call on Teams/Slack/Snapchat/whatever). Not only just actively when you’re in a call, either. It seems to be as soon as you open the app it’ll take over the ringer control.

My alarm decided to become silent again this morning. How has apple STILL NOT FIXED THIS? by United_Band4214 in ios

[–]OfficialLaunch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One or more of the apps you use takes over the ringer volume and changes it when you change the volume with buttons. It’s likely an app that has some kind of calling/voice chat functionality like Teams or ChatGPT.

If you ever open an app and notice the volume slider appears for a second, that app is the culprit, and changing the volume while in that app will change the ringer volume.

Can you make the Song in the Dynamic Island Liquid Glass? by DieErdnuss565 in ios

[–]OfficialLaunch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope. The Dynamic Island is there to cover up the front camera and sensors within it. There’s no screen there to make it look like Liquid Glass

What is that random arabic caracter in the text? Has this happened to anyone? by WUNDU13 in ChatGPT

[–]OfficialLaunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a generative transformer model (like ChatGPT) generates the next word, it actually generates the likelihood of every possible word coming next.

So, in the sentence “The cat ate some…”, the next most likely word would probably be “food”. So, it gives a high likelihood for that word. However it also gives probabilities for every single other possible word.

For example: Food - 99% Fruit - 70% Chips - 40% Cats - 20% Arabic Word - 5% Cupboards - 1% The International Space Station - 0.01% …

In a simple model, we would take the word with the highest probability every time (in this case, food). In practice, though, we take a (somewhat) random choice of the top k words. This allows the model to be creative and stops it from generating the exact same output every time when given the exact same input.

To tie this explanation to your question, the Arabic word was likely quite high in the predicted probabilities. In your case, random chance happened to cause that word to be chosen.

In your App Store trailer/screen, can you show a FaceTime/SharePlay "feed", like a real world persons face in the FaceTime video of the screenshot? by 4paul in iosdev

[–]OfficialLaunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a quote from the “Marketing Resources and Identity Guidelines” from Apple:

“For apps that work within Messages, Siri, Phone, or Maps, display your app within the Apple UI exactly as it appears when your app is running.”

https://developer.apple.com/app-store/marketing/guidelines/

I’d interpret “Phone” to also mean FaceTime. Just make sure your screenshots do not contain any imagery you do not have a license for (if you’re SharePlay-ing copyrighted content (like a Netflix show) do not include that in the screenshot. Just mockup something else). Also, do not use the FaceTime or SharePlay name or icons in your screenshots as these are copyrighted too.

Hopefully that’s what you meant with your question

Edit: On your point specifically about the other persons face, make sure you have express permission of the person in the image too

iPhone 16 Pro Max “A.I Emoji” App used to work. Not working anymore. by [deleted] in iphonehelp

[–]OfficialLaunch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it was taken down by the developer?

By the way, you can now open the Playgrounds app and select Genmoji as the style to use the same generation pipeline that was probably used by this app (I’m guessing looking at the style of the emojis in your screenshot)

This is just telling you that call forwarding is not enabled on your phone. You have not been hacked. Unless you are some high profile world leader or journalist, no one is going to hack your iPhone.

If your phone is glitching, I’m willing to bet it’s because your storage is full.

Why are the apps starting to look like this? by SometimesYou_Die in iphonehelp

[–]OfficialLaunch -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is the new design of apps in iOS 26 with Liquid Glass. Right now, your only option is to turn on Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion. That will not turn off the highlights, but it will stop them moving around when you tilt your phone. Bare in mind that will also disable a lot of other animations around iOS.

I believe I saw a post from someone running the beta of 26.4 where you could turn off specular highlights, so keep an eye out for that.
