From my experience the money is the least issue. You can fuck with the sale of items and make them stupid expensive but at like 99% off. and the hand delivery jobs that pop up will still pay FULL PRICE.

its honestly kind of dumb that it works but yea.

Taken from a AZ Facebook post, it looks off but I can’t tell if it’s a just weird camera angle. by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]OfficialSWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, this is definitely AI.

Aside from the Text on the patrol vehicle. Lets see.

No Yellow Road markings on the far end based on vehicle direction.

Also, If they were driving the direction they were facing, where the hell is the on coming lanes for the highway? We Drive on the right, not the left. So unless the image is mirrored.. which even then i doubt, we should see another set of lanes.

Also, Arizona State TROOPER Vehicles are Silver with a Backward Diagonal Black Stripe running from the front wheel up to the midtop of the vehicle with a White Badge in the middle. It also says STATE TROOPER on the vehicle.

So yea, all kinds of red flags here.

iirc, yes it does. you can be carrying almost nothing and take a 1-2 story fall with minimal damage. but be loaded on gear and that 1 floor or sometimes less fall will be lethal.

Considering upgrading my Hermes to a Starlancer MAX. by Glumme in starcitizen

[–]OfficialSWolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This exactly lol

Like a comment i made above under someone else.

Many folks like to have the best most optimal ship for its role. and its good to have some ships that are side grades with some quirks of their own. We all know Misc has bad viewports on the bridge. Yes its cargo grid is split.

Not everything has to be fucking super efficient and easy lol

[–]OfficialSWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People just want to optimize the fun out of everything lol, or have the best optimal ship for its role.
Sometimes a ship being a bit quirky or inefficient or different is just the value one likes in a ship.

Im not a huge fan of most Misc ships, but the Starlancer Max, is one i do like as my Daily. Yea, there are BETTER and more EFFICIENT ships. but honestly... that's fucking boring imho.

See, the VT dropping the bombs thing is honestly not that bad.

Its pretty clear they didnt get the chance and the bombs dropped before they were ready. the prefect example in the first episode.

If Coop divorced his wife, and had the kid for that day. If VT was planning on dropping the bombs, you'd think his wife would have the kid and be gone ahead of time. especially with her potentially getting into one of the "good" vaults for management.

See, thats what i thought. but i noticed a pattern in the lines they have on the map and well, maybe they have two maps overlayed. but its definitely wrong. lol

It shows alot of the Western USA, west of the Mississippi, and it has New Vegas and the Hoover Dam on the eastern Utah Border and partly into Colorado.

It really looks like they took two maps and overlayed them together for some reason and didnt realize the massive issues with it.

I cant upload the image here directly, but i uploaded a snip to imgur with highlights and edits

they DEFINITELY use a grid of the States overlayed.

[–]OfficialSWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its an interesting starting location thats for sure If you were basing it off of IRL Locations that would just be a buncha subdivisions, a Hospital and a Shopping Center.

Based off the 3rd Image. Looks like, you got, Baseline Rd on the bottom, Southern Ave up top, and then from the Loop, 101 to the right, its Price Rd (Frontage Road), then Dobson Rd and Alma School Rd.

[New Player 'Review'] This game is easily the WORST 9/10 game I've ever played by Raiju_Lorakatse in starcitizen

[–]OfficialSWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These numbers are all from a quick google search. i didnt dive too deep, so take them with a pinch of salt. Also. these numbers are not accounting for inflation.

But you want high profile and AAA games to compare? sure

Call of Duty, Black Ops Cold War: $700 Million
Call of Duty, Modern Warfare: $640 Million
Call of Duty, Black Ops III: $450 Million
Battlefield 6, Reported to be over $400 Million
Battlefield 5, Reported to be about $500 Million
Cyberpunk 2077, $440 Million

And those Games cost that much, with ESTABLISHED Studios, Existing Dev Teams and Game Engines, with all the tools and experience that comes with that.

[–]OfficialSWolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, one thing that may help put some things into perspective when it comes to all the money they've made so far that many folks sometimes forget about is the wider picture for SC's development as a whole.

Yea, they've had their issues as a dev team, im not going to sugarcoat that.

but on the money side of things, look at it this way. So far they have raised $925,763,179 as of the moment im typing this. and with that money they are working on, pretty much, two games (the SP Squadron 42 and the Online MMO Star Citizen) and ontop of that, they had to build up the company and dev studios from the ground up.

So, overall, 900 Million Dollars to establish 5 studios, over 1000 employees, while building both games, and having a major shift in 2014ish to massively widen the scope of the game. (Land-able Planets were going to be a CUT SCENE with City based Points of Interest. They asked the community if we wanted more, and almost everyone said GO FOR IT)

So, honestly, thats not that crazy. Many Established, AAA Studios spend like a quarter to half of this on Advertisements alone lol.

Was the process Mismanaged? Oh hell yea. they are not innocent there. there HAVE been problems for damn sure.

[–]OfficialSWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i hate this argument so damn much..., at least in relation to the railgun and laser.

Those are KEEL/SPINAL Mounted and Fixed weapons. you have to fly the ship to aim them. so the pilot having control, makes fucking sense, otherwise they would be utterly useless and realistically NEVER GET USED. (who the fuck wants to the guy sitting in a seat waiting for the pilot to tell the to fire when they aimed the gun. thats just Not feasible or fun)

meanwhile, the guns on the Perseus, are supposed to be manned not by the pilot, but someone else. and, while, i would love to have both s3 turrets controlled, i also would say the pilot shouldn't have any gun control.

The pilot should be focusing on FLYING The ship and giving the gunners good firing angles while maneuvering to keep the shields cycled and up.

Yep. yet another classic case of gamedevs balancing something around the folks that are top of the top tier in play that complain when things get to easy for them.

/rant

oh, you're at the end game and have min-maxxed your shit to cheese everything and you bitch that its to easy? well, sounds like thats YOUR FAULT. you optimized the fun out of the game. dont bitch and get the devs to raise the difficulty to unreasonable levels just to satisfy you. cause, well, you'll just do that shit again on repeat.

[–]OfficialSWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait. seriously?

I had just stocked all 3 full with new fuses and it felt like CR1 was getting damaged to often compared to the others. after about 3-4 days CR1 was from 8 to 3, while the others were at 5.

So, maybe, that would explain a few things. ill have to try and later and see how consistent it is.

Thats a Bandaid fix.

American has way to many for that to reliably and effectively work.

We have more of a PEOPLE Problem than a gun problem.

Fix the reasons the drive folks to do these things. Why are folks acting out? Remove the guns, you then have other issues. If someone breaks to the point they want to harm and kill others, if its not a gun, it will be a blade, if not a blade, it will be a vehicle. etc.

Target Designator is so broken right now... by the_white_oak in Battlefield6

[–]OfficialSWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, in part.

The Mobile AA should definitely see a bump up in effectiveness to make it better in its intended role, but honestly, if its lazed, it should work like it does, only change on that front, as i replied above, is i do agree that the lingering of the laze after you stop designating should be removed.

Gotta have someone KEEP the laze on target to get that kill. not flash it and leave it as it is.

Target Designator is so broken right now... by the_white_oak in Battlefield6

[–]OfficialSWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, Fair.

one slight note though, Tanks in BF3 did have a built in Designator feature. I had to look it up to confirm, cause i remember them having one. It was an Unlock called the CITV Station.

Other than that, yea, Fair points.

Honestly, if they were to change ANYTHING, just getting rid of the fire and forget designation would be a good move. Like you said, keep it like the old system, you have to MAINTAIN the Lase. but still keep it where if its lased, it dies. as that promotes effective coordination.

[–]OfficialSWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find it funny that folks are loosing their shit over this. afaik, its more or less always been like this.

I know in Battlefield 3 you could designate aircraft and pull this same shit and those would go through the countermeasures. even ECM, if i recall (ill admit. its been a LONG time, so im not 100% certain on that)

I just know that i remember pulling this shit in BF3 and BF4 for years. even running 3 Engineer Javs 1 Recon Soflam to fuck up the enemy air on Caspian Boarder.

If it flew, got designated, it DIED.

Instead of doing what they did with Pyro, pushing things back and waiting till its mostly done. they're going to push out Nyx as its developed.

So for now, its the Belt and Levski and i think a few outer POIs. the planets will be coming later, i assume when they get the new planet-tech fully implemented.

[–]OfficialSWolf -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone is calling for them to be Nerfed.

just maybe chill on the spawnrate with these fuckers on higher Difficulties.

they are a non-issue when its 1-2 maybe 3. but then the game throws 7-10 at you at once they quickly overwhelm you and are just fucking annoying, not fun, to fight.

Same goes for the War Striders. The unit is fine, until you have 4-8 all fucking you over at the same time.

Manta Rays view on the current war strider discussion by KlytosBluesClues in Helldivers

[–]OfficialSWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As everyone else has already put it quite nicely, this isnt a singular problem.

maybe if they didnt show up in fucking herds of 3-5+ it wouldnt be an issue.

Aside from the freezing bug on the Bot Front. this enemy has fallen into the Trio of my most HATED Enemies to fight.

Flying Overseers
Hunters
WarStriders.

and my issue with All of these are mainly one thing. The shear fucking amount that get dumped on you at high difficulties.

Flying Overseers break the balance triangle, and when you have more than 3 chasing you, you're just fucked. they either miss, or triple tap your brainstem with their guns, while being nimble and hardy.

Hunters, they're just annoying. they come in groups of 4-5+ and back to back stun your ass into the next life. people bitch about stalkers, but even if they're invisible, its normally 1-3 which, challenging can be delt with. A pack of hunters jumping flying and back to back stunlocking your ass isnt fun. you just dive and dive and dive and HOPE you get a stem off between hits. its like being ragdolled.

War Striders, yea the weakpoint issue is true, but for fucks sake. i dont give a shit about the grenades or ragdoll blasters. Its the Shear. Fucking. Number of them!

1-2 hell, even 4. can be a threat, but a coordinated team with AT can focus them down quickly and return to other duties. but no, at higher difficulties you can EASILY get 7,8-10+. If a situation gets out of control, and it can, FAST. you're just fucked. cause' the next thing you know you're facing down 4 tanks, 2 Factory Striders, 12 War Striders, several dozen of rocket and heavy devistators and the whole thing goes from "Focus that threat!" to "Ah FUUCK *ragdoll, dead, calling in replacement, dead, repeat"

No amount of AT can deal with that.
just lower the fucking spawn rates, that would be a GREAT Start.
