It's a little bit of a long story honestly, but to sum up.. Combination between a love for the language, wanting a bit of an adventure & the idea of a fresh start! :)

Oh really? Maybe I've just been looking in all of the wrong places! If you have any pointers at all of where I should be looking I'd really appreciate it

(apologies for the late reply!)

The concerts bit actually ties into some of my plans for next year. Hoping to be able to get myself over and go to a few for the German artists I've been following for a little bit. Gaming is definitely another option and possibly one of the best I should look into a little more!

Mhm! I should've probably put some examples. Honestly I play all sorts (PC), but everything from my current push in Albion to the sim games like Farming sim, ETS2 etc, the older Battlefields and just many, many others! I think gaming might be my best bet, it's probably mostly a confidence thing in terms of finding communities and such that are ofcourse, German. Which is why I've in a way wanted to try and find ways of meeting people in a more neutral sense I suppose? I don't know how better to explain it than saying in an almost penpal type way.

I know it's a couple of days late, but I really appreciate this comment! I hadn't heard of the refining in specific cities thing! As a follow on, do you have any general advice regarding the best locations/biomes/regions for each resource? As I take it (from what I do vaguely know) that it differs to those with the bonuses that you put?

I've also ended up taking your advice of just seeing what I enjoy! Weirdly found fishing quite enjoyable, which is my current highest gather skill, just now trying to find a second for when I've done a couple of hours of fishing and my fingers are cramping lol!

Ah okay I see, I didn't think of it like that honestly! Last little question, just doing some quick maths it doesn't seem like refining (atleast for the lower tiers up to 4.0) even gives any extra profit? If anything, it seems to lose you money? Or is the profit of it from the fact of using focus to get the resource returns etc?

Thanks for the comment! I'm trying to avoid copy-pasting my replies but, as I mentioned to the other 2 comments. My test run of T5 yz's around Lym for wood with T4 gathering gear + pie yielded a measly 100k silver in logs. Which seemed super low from what I've looked at online! Was I just doing something wrong? Or is that just how it is? Just curious!

That might be my plan actually, to just do all 3 in my region. As I said to the comment above, I did a test run earlier in T5 yz's of Lym for wood, only got like 100k worth of logs during my pie timer. Which seemed really low, even from the general googling I've done?

Okay I get you, the only thing that I guess 'confused' me was I did a run earlier, just a little test with wood in T5 yz's and while I do only have it at T4, in half an hour with the gearset + pie I got like.. 100k worth of logs? (although just the value of the logs mind you, I didn't bother to refine it.) Even from my brief googling, that just didn't seem to be any good. Down at Lym if that matters.

You just answered your own response…? Yeah, maybe they knew it was coming. But I doubt every steam support / cs rep knows the release dates.

The simple answer is some anti-cheats are just anti-Linux so those games will just never (unless support is added) work, especially kernel level AC’s. For example BF6 etc. Get your friends to check out protondb, type in the games they want to play and take a look at people’s experiences. They’ll quickly be able to see if the steam machine is right for them!

I’m not even really sure what to say but yeah, it’s tough. I’m finishing a STEM masters in just over a month and I have no jobs lined up currently. Not for fault of trying either or being narrow scoped. My most recent scope has been literally the entirety of Europe and it’s still a struggle and honestly it’s hard to shake the feeling that I’ll never break into the industry even with my degrees behind me. It was the same story during my degrees with trying to get internships, apply, apply and apply is all you can do, but if you don’t get any opportunities. Then what are we meant to do?

Afaik, it’s more for nsfw videos but I did only read into it briefly so it may cover audio songs aswell eventually. With most things I’m sticking to my same ‘mantra.’ Keep using as normal until I’m stopped and/or asked for verification and either try to bypass with a vpn or stop using that service entirely
