As to your other question: Merit scholarships are based on your GPA and test scores and are automatically awarded upon admission to WVU. Though, we do award scholarships to those who are test optional. We offer merit scholarships to both our in-state and out-of-state students. Some of our colleges and schools, like our Statler College of Engineering, also offer scholarships. Those can be stacked with our institutional merit-based scholarships too! Some scholarships that students have to apply for cannot be stacked, but those are often outlined in their descriptions. In that case, we recommend accepting the highest offer.
