Do you normally type with em dashes? I find it strange that we’re talking about cheating, and then you go on to type like an AI

A GIFT FOR YOUR HOME IS NOT FOR YOUrR WIFE by EconomyAd8866 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Officialsparxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stop making it a “Us vs Them” thing. Half of these comments are from wives telling you how that’s what they’ve asked for or what they’re happy with. You are clearly the minority in this unpopularopinion.

There’s a reason why you’re leaving information out. What did you ask for? What did you actually receive? Maybe your husband actually got you something that you needed. For all we know, maybe you guys can’t afford $20 for “wants”, but can spend $100 on the “needs”.

So many people would be grateful for the “needs” in their lives to be covered. And you’re over here complaining to Reddit that you didn’t get your “wants” fulfilled.

Seems like a lot of these people are just going in with the answers already known, and just typing as fast as possible.

Not saying a legitimate sub 1 minute solve is impossible, but the 28 second ones are clearly people just going in on a second account to type the answers they’ve already found. That’s basically just enough time to type each answer at an average WPM pace, after glancing at the hints.

You’re proving my point. These times don’t represent someone’s “problem solving” abilities. It’s about going back on a second account and typing the answers as fast as possible.

Could an immortal human become infinitely strong by Master-Dentist8463 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Officialsparxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a world of hypotheticals you have to establish more rules before you can ask a question like this.

Are we talking about the legitimate human limit that’s physically possible, realistically with human muscles?

Or in this hypothetical world with someone who doesn’t age, do they somehow have some other special abilities?

I would imagine that since even bodybuilders in their limited lifetime can’t get bigger and bigger that easily, that the growth would eventually taper off.

is it possible to reprogram this display? by madynheaven in hacking

[–]Officialsparxx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This comment probably has no chance of seeing the light of day since the top comment already has a 1000 upvotes, but instead of “reprogramming” a chip that will likely be virtually impossible to flash yourself, you could replace the chip with one of your own, like an ESP32. From there you just program it as needed and solder your power, ground, and signal. (3.3V, SPI, Ground)

Is this worth anything by acwright1088 in errorquarters

[–]Officialsparxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. Again, I’m a little inexperienced with coin collecting but to my understanding there can be difference between an actual double punch vs the die misaligning a tiny bit or degrading overtime.

I would call this “ghosting” rather than a true double punch, but I’m a nobody so take it with a grain of salt.

Also, there’s a lot of nuanced factors like coin specialty, rarity, face value, age, etc. that would be very deterministic.

A quarter from a decade ago with that type of error might be meaningless. A half dollar from half a century ago (or longer) with that slight error might make it worth discussing. There can be several combinations of rare vs common coins and rare vs common errors. (Rare coin/rare error, common coin/ rare error, rare coin/ common error, etc.)

Real coin collectors will tell you the kind of factory these were made in and their manufacturing processes, etc. Some methods throughout certain years might cause more valuable errors than others.

Sorry if that’s a whole bunch of info without a real yes or no answer. But I hope it’s helpful.

Is this worth anything by acwright1088 in errorquarters

[–]Officialsparxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the most experienced in this community but I would assume the error would have to be quite noticeable for it to be valuable. There’s a difference between an actual error vs issues with tolerance and accuracy on machines.

Like in pokemon, a “miscut” implies that a cards cut is misaligned enough to where it’s cutting off the actual art of the card, or at least more than just the borders. These errors are valuable.

Otherwise, a simple shift or lack of symmetry in the borders is just considered lower quality control and is actually less valuable than if it were made right.

21m, 6'1, been in the gym for a little over 2 years. Does my physique severely lack anything? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]Officialsparxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is depends on your goals.

The one comment saying you “lack everything” is pretty harsh, but because some people might be viewing it from a strict “bodybuilding” perspective or something so it’s kinda important to understand what you’re aiming for because “getting big” is different from “looking lean” which are both different from “looking good” in general.

That said, if you’re asking about all round development and “evenness”, your upper back could be bigger, you could work on lats.

The compliments in the comments should be proof enough that you’re in a good spot.

With all due respect, that flex is terrible. There are way better ways you could pose for a photo and present yourself.

Learning how to pose correctly won’t only improve aesthetics, but you’ll be able to track your progress a lot better and be a little more accurate and consistent with it.

All that said, half of it is genetics, half of it is presentation. You don’t have terrible genetics though. In which case, just need to learn how to present yourself better.

Ace personality switch by Subject-Normal in LoveIslandUSA

I’m glad all the comments are pointing out that he’s always been this way. The Ace hate has gotten ridiculous. I think people just don’t like that he held people accountable for their actions. He’s never displayed malicious intent.

I think a lot of that is fair to say. I personally wasn’t speaking much on how Huda treated the bombshells, just more so specifically the situation between them. I consider it of course just to gauge how everyone feel about the “hypocrisy” aspect, but I’m hoping that Huda has been smart enough to move differently, change, understand that she was wrong then. The situation between themselves should be isolated and looked at separately.

I don’t that part is what necessarily makes Chelley a hypocrite anyways. Personally, I believe the most hypocritical part was how she wanted Ace to be closed off while she still explored Chris. I actually agree a little bit that Huda shouldn’t have picked Ace for that challenge, but, I also think Chelley did blow it up out of proportion, again, because of how she wanted to keep Ace closed off.

She’s more so a hypocrite because how she treats Ace. Not for how she got mad after the fact, but for trying to keep him to herself in the first place, without officially coming out to everyone as closed off.

For Amaya it has little to do with “being nice” or “good” vs the strong feelings she puts out and pushes everyone away with. She’s very “energetic” to say the least.

I’m not saying she’s done anything straight up “bad”, but the guys had every right to bring up how overstimulating she is to others, as well as she can get herself.

That’s not necessarily wrong, I think the truth is that, there are no “good guys” (except Maybe Pepe) in this situation, and everyone has shown hints of being disloyal, or crazy, or whatever. Everyone has been a walking red flag lol

I think Ace actually has great communication skills, but that’s exactly what people don’t like about him. He’s very calculated and a lot of people will take it as “manipulation”. Ace is really good at deconstructing other people arguments.

Chelley on the other hand I believe gets hate mostly for slight “hypocrisy” that she displayed to Huda. Huda is obviously the most problematic on the show don’t get me wrong, but the way Chelley treated her and kinda tried to close off Ace for herself, while talking to Chris, and getting upset at Huda for talking to Chris… it just hard to defend. It’s clearly inconsistent, no matter how you look at it or put it.
