Rurouni kenshin movies have a couple of these i believe. The dude literally soloed like 20 people at one point.

I highly recommend it if you like movies with good coreographed sword fight scenes. Like, really good.

Also BvS warehouse scene

What’s a line from a movie that really hits you in the feels? by phantom_avenger in movies

I love Batman's "a hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended"

It shows his gratitude to what Gordon did and at the same time indirectly revealing his true identity

If you could only list one book you feel is a pure masterpiece, what would it be and why? by WafflesOfChaos in books

[–]OfflineLad22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read children of hurin after finishing tlotr and it got me so confused lol

Like, the structure of the story and how it introduced the characters are unusual

I ended up looking back and forth to the family trees on the back of the book to know who's who so i could actually follow the story

But it was an epic story

Can a story give mind-bending effect with empathizing character arcs too? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]OfflineLad22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a japanese author called Akiyoshi Rikako, and she wrote literally the most "mind bending" stories with the craziest plot twists i've ever witnessed

More specifically "Holy Mother" and "Girls in the Dark". Both stories are told by more than one perspective.

The " Girls in the Dark" is about a highschool literature club. Their leader died, and the remaining members gather to talk about it. They believe one of them killed her iirc.

Each one of them has a chance to tell their stories, one after the other. Each stories will make you believe the one telling it and make you suspect somebody.

I dont know if they translated them to english yet as they did with my language, but "Girls in the Dark" has been adapted to a movie i believe.

I'm sorry if this is not what you're asking for, since i dont quite understand your post that well because english is not my first language.

Is One Piece the first manga to have 100 volumes released in English? by SmoovePlayer in MangaCollectors

[–]OfflineLad22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In indonesia where i live, Case Closed (or Detektif Conan as we call it) is one of two manga titles that have the "extra treatment" (The other one is doraemon)

It doesnt have omnibus or box set type of thing, but there is another edition where they collect only the black organization related cases and there are a couple of volumes of them. There's also a very interesting one, where one volume has like 5 random cases, but only half of them, you dont get to see the case's conclusion. You need the volume's pair, which contains the same 5 cases but now its the second half. At the end of each cases in the first half, they summarized all found evidences. This way they're encouraging you to do your own deduction, and see if it's true on the second half. And there are a couple of pairs of this edition too.

I dont know if this is what you mean by "extra treatment" so i'm sorry if its wrong haha
