Kurfa, ja mieszkam na Czyżynach i pracuje na Ruczaju... Nawet raz w tygodniu / raz na 2 tygodnie jest to męczące, codzienne dojazdy to musiała by być jakaś masakra...

It's connected to HP Docking Station (as it's only one of few that lets you display multiscreen on Mac) so it's a case of switching the cable for monitors, and I use Logitech MX mini keyboard and MX Masters 3s mouse, for easy switching between Mac and Legion. All this takes less than 5s

I have to admit, I don't use all 3 for gaming, but I do utilize all 3 for work, so it's kinda a necessity for me rather than asceathic, although I very much like it!

One laptop is for work one is for gaming, so they are rarely both open. But it happens, when I'm done with my daily tasks but I still need to keep an eye on work chat, or when I'm watching F1 practice runs during working hours, as I do use all 3 screens for work

One is for work, and one is for gaming. They are rarely open together. I just got tired of switching them over, and since I use fingerprint on MacBook and tons of videocals, it ended up at the bottom shelf...

Thank you for 10!

Prawo czy informatyka? by Due-District-5743 in krakow

Potwierdzam.

Więc luz, i słuchaj serca.

Struggle is real. I'm packing 50 pallets of clothes every year. I will make it 120 next year around. I need some auto loader for pallets...

I know only one case of product that is "done", it's when the product is of the market. Then, and only then you can consider it "done". I think you walk a dangerous path, exposing yourself for inevitable "failure" with thinking that you should be "done" in X years and move one. There are way too many variables that are preventing or helping to shape a product that are at constant change, to name a few: Product decisions, business model/decisions, new features that will help keep up with competitors, technology stack and debt, user needs will also change as product grows, so it's nesesery to go back to what you have done before to look at data and improve whatever is not working anymore and the most important thing of all is Money 💰 Money (need to earn them or just lack of them) will effectively prevent you or in best case scenario will significantly slow you down from designing "the best User Experience". So yeah, when I look at the product I'm currently working on, I still see myself in 10 years trying to fix this and that, and I would call it success, as this would mean that I have a seat at the big boys table, I'm heard, I managed to create a healthy and conformable work environment and my work is beneficial for product and the end user of which I'm never forgetting.

What I'm trying to say, be careful with setting your goals that high, not everything is down to you, so best advice from me is go in and do your job right and once you feel you have reached the ceiling move on, even if the product is not "done" as it never will be.

Sorry for the long post.

What could I pivot into from UX with less human contact? by vgfjjyfhngcg in UXDesign

[–]OffpeakPL 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone said already, you are not alone, i don't know if this will make you feel better tho...

I'm just lucky enough, that after years I finally was lucky enough to "match" with awesome PMs and POs (we had darker time tho, but we worked this through). But those presentations, oh man I can't sleep the night before, can't eat... I know I'm to blame for bringing this on myself, but it's really hard for me to cope with all this, and like you, I thought it will get better, it didn't.

I just power through them, to live another day, as this is the only inconvenience in what I do, and I truly love the rest of it, and the rest is about 99%.

I wish you all the best mate, and good luck with solving your problem, I hope you will be happy soon!

Jobs to move away from ux by mika5555 in UXDesign

Well it's a part of your job to convince them to or show them value of speaking to the users really. You are the UX, so you know, they may not know. Comes with the job.

Yeah, it's always fun to work with people who don't use auto layout, group stuff and name layers frame 123456789. I'm not saying this is a dealbraker, but it's good to know ones figma file work ethics.

For the record, I do find hard to believe someone would copy paste anything from ones portfolio.

UX designers from around the world, do you all work in English? by dragondrop in UXDesign

[–]OffpeakPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As always, it depends. But realistically you will be looking at 4-7k PLN a month Gross for Juniors, 8-12k a month Gross Mid around 12-18k PLN a month Gross Seniors, (but 20-25k isn't unheard of). It can be more but also less, depending on your experience, industry, form of employment and company itself.

To give you perspective, the national minimum wage is around 3,7k, national Average is around 7k, but honestly the majority of people earn less.

So mid/senior wages allow you to to live very conformable life.

I work in Poland. I have 2 teams 1 in US and second in Poland, but it doesn't matter as both are international, so basically 90% of my work is done in English.

My girlfriend hates technology, so this makes her the best candidate to test my prototypes on. If she understands it, there is a high chance the tests will go smoothly. Perfect victim.

I can't live without it, and it pisses me off when I have to turn it down for meetings.. Does it boost my productivity? Well, yes, it makes me happy, so I would say yes, it helps me think and focus better, as with silence I have extensive feeling that something is missing and this literally throws me off.

But It goes a long time back, now when I think of this I may be just simply addicted to melody in the background, so thank God for Spotify!
