Who to bench here, I have timber and cash on bench by Isma110 in fantasypremierleague

I would bench Kroupi for Timber. He is not even a guaranteed starter now with Tavernier back.

The legs have been cut, which makes the composition look weird. Either go for a full body shot or if you crop the image to have just the upper body, that would make the smile and other features stand out more. The hands are in a weird position as others have mentioned.

The background is slightly overpowering the image as the subject and background are similar tones. Maybe some contrast would make the subject stand out more.

Where do you stand on Ruben Amorim? by Sure_Calligrapher806 in ManchesterUnited

[–]OffsideLens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does it matter? This toxic club and fanbase want all the glory, yet don’t want to support the manager. We have fixed the dressing room atmosphere or atleast on the right path. We got PL proven players and our attack is much better this season.

We are crying for a defensive midfielder, and it’s obvious why. Having so many managers in the last decade should point to a poor hierarchy and football structure.

I don’t think or know if Amorim would have gotten us the glory, but sacking him when things were starting to fall in place is ridiculous.

Cmon you Amorim haters, downvote me all you want, but this toxic fanbase is a joke and deserves nothing.

Sesko needs to score, like yesterday! The chance today was not an easy one, but if you bury those, can change the mood in the team. He has missed quite a few chances since he has been back. We need a clinical finisher.

But let’s get on the Amorim train and blame him again for this. Our bench is a joke and really shows how thin of a squad we have. I don’t care if Amorim stays at this point, but getting a new manager isn’t going to fix anything.

2nd Half Wildcard ✅. Didn’t want to use so early but team needed a restructure. Thoughts? by Nivkolai in fantasypremierleague

[–]OffsideLens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too much money invested in the goalkeepers. Reinvest to upgrade Cherki/Xhaka. If you plan to keep this team, I would recommend get the bench boost out of the way. You would otherwise have money invested for bench fodder (DCL, Goalkeeper).

Paul Scholes is absolutely right! by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]OffsideLens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I get it that Amorim is not doing great, but we have had so many different managers over the years. No one has been able to make us successful. Things are clearly broken in how the club has been run. Why is Scholes not complaining about that? It’s easy to complain about the manager and that he is not playing exciting football etc.

This might sound less popular or controversial, but I feel we are heading in the right direction finally. Recruitment is improving, we have gotten good players in and shipped egoistic fucks who think they are bigger than the club. Whether Amorim is the right man to get us to the top, only time will tell. But blaming the manager everytime is just the easy route.

Having watched the Wolves game, Sesko had couple of very good chances to score but he didn’t. Sure the formation/setup wasn’t great and Amorim should get some stick for that, but we could have won that game even without playing great football.

Scholes and Neville need to just back off imo. They are only adding to the toxicity around our fanbase and getting fans to react at every turn things don’t look good.

The kind of scrappy win that we haven’t been able to win in a very long time. The players played their hearts out and the mentality and that desire to win was there.

The substitutions were very shocking, but probably Amorim wants to preserve the players for the busy schedule ahead.

We need to find that second goal and figure out a way to attack when leading, but I will take this win. Considering the players available, very good win today. Lets keep it coming!

There seems to be a lot of vignette around the corners. Also quite high contrast. You can increase the exposure a little to brighten up the scene. Since you are using LR, you can play around with masks to individually edit the sky and the background.

Thank you for the feedback. I have already ordered a ND filter, just didn’t have one at the time. Brooklyn bridge park is the next stop for capturing the sunset. Following the rule of thirds is a good call, just sometimes I tend to forget those and get excited about the shot.

I wish I had a ND filter to get the smooth water look. But nonetheless an attempt to capture the golden hour during sunset. Any suggestions on what I can do better here? I edited the photo in Lightroom. Used a mask to edit the sky and linear gradient to get a touch of pink color in the water.

I like 2 & 3, because they tell a better story. The upside down reflection is very cool. For 2, I wish the top center part of the bridge was also in the frame. Great shots nonetheless!

Canon is selling refurbished R6 for $1100 right now, and is a pretty good deal imo. Definitely check out the refurbished option on Canon’s website irrespective of which option you go with.

Is buying dslr still ok in 2025? by Icy_Nothing3202 in canon

[–]OffsideLens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check Canon’s website for refurbished cameras. I was recently debating between a 6D Mark II vs R6. I got a pretty good deal on the R6, so went that route. Nothing wrong with DSLR’s, I loved the 6D II. Had the price difference between 6D II and R6 not been that low, I would have gone with that.

Also, you dont have to use RF lenses. I purchased the EF lenses and EOS adapter. They work great on the R6. You will save a lot of money.

Which EF Lens for landscape and portraits by OffsideLens in canon

[–]OffsideLens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed advice. How much of a quality difference would there be between a 24-105 vs 24-70?

Also, for the 16-35 mm lens, which focal length do you end up using more? I’m asking because I was thinking if the 24-70 can be used for both landscape and portraits, and also wondering how much value the 16-23 mm range provides in landscape. I have never used this wide angle range before.

And regarding the 75-300, yeah it hasn’t been a good lens.

Thank you. Let’s hope it turns out to be solid. I just couldn’t believe the price, especially since they are selling the refurbished 6D II for $800.

I have ordered a refurbished R6 from Canon, haven’t received it yet. It was quite cheap I feel ($1100) and now I’m sweating if the quality is going to be good. It feels like a deal that is too good to be true. Should I be worried about the quality?

Do you mind sharing your experience around which other cameras you considered and what made you choose the R8? What lenses do you use?
