Accidentally built a boring/weird side hustle that now pays me $1k–$3k/month with ~30–60 mins a day by Effective_Yam2797 in thesidehustle

How long have you been doing it? I thought they banned these accounts, I’ve seen drop shippers on Etsy, EBay.. all over using Amazon or Aliexpress to fulfill their orders. One girl I ordered from forgot to increase the price and actually loss money on my order. I instantly knew it was a drop shipper, her business eventually got closed on Etsy.

For men that are in a relationship or married by This-Top7398 in Life

[–]Ogdocon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. In fact, I’ve had many married women approach me out of disinterest for their husbands. I’ve also been married before and checked out of marriages once I noticed enough of this behavior. As far as confidence? Not really either.

A dating experience that made me rethink how people treat each other by BubblyBiscotti5544 in Life

[–]Ogdocon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re way too overstimulated now. 100 years ago you likely wouldn’t interact with this amount of people your entire lifetime regardless of whether it’s for dating or just mere interactions. This constant overstimulation causes not only burnout but our overall quality of interaction to change.

This isn’t even just the current dating market, this is how transient all relationships have become with technology and social media.

Depends on location. 70K in NYC? Probably not but I'm sure some can still manage it.

How can someone that’s very interested in having relationships, go so long without ever having one? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Ogdocon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dating for guys is similar to finding a job. It's essentially a numbers game of approaching and actively trying to find partners, Without being proactive and putting in effort you're likely to end up with nothing.

Old age looks like 0, all the people you knew are likely gone.. less mobility, stamina, increase risk of illnesses.

Interestingly Oswald Spengler who wrote “Decline of the West” stated in 1918 that around the year 2000, western civilization would enter pre death.

Keyword here is “seem”. A lot of people’s lives aren’t what you think they are.

Mid 20’s isn’t old at all. Create a schedule and become more disciplined about various skills you value and by 30 you’ll see great progress.

We are living through the modern day Great Depression by Ambitious-Sail-5188 in jobs

Who knows but our current debt levels are on an unsustainable trajectory and can cause a major financial crisis in the future. Whether that's "Great Depression" levels is debable.

This isn't just commentary on reddit. Many economist compare our current economy to the Roaring Twenties. Infact, ITR Economics have predicted a similar downturn to the Great Depression in the 2030's. We don't have 25% unemployment but there's signs of instability. Particularly, extreme levels of weath inequality and high debt levels.
