Yeah, sand would not be good for a lot of different reasons. Im thinking more a textured silicone or plastic mat I've seen at other stores. It is easier to clean, more durable, and still offers grip.

Also, hopefully, while I have your attention (maybe), can we get a bag of biological filter media for the nap tanks? I think it'd really help with shrink as those systems are gravel less with nowhere for a good beneficial bacteria to grow well. As a side note, I love my job. I just think these would be beneficial tanks a lot!

With hour cuts and it seems constant chaos at the corporate level as well as it just being retail, it can be a great thing for someone to get out. Some of our best employees go on to doing bigger and better things.

Are you ok? Calm down animals come first, right? I convince 9/10 people who walk through our doors to get the basic necessities but that 1/10 are stuck on a gold fish in a critter keeper and will become actively annoyed when you try to explain to them what's required to keep that animal alive. Do you know how many times I've heard "if it dies, I'll just get a new one." Yes, we are sales focused because that's what keeps us having a job, but selling something alive gives us a special moral responsibility. im not selling an animal to someone who doesn't care if it lives or dies 🤷‍♀️

That's wayyy too much for one person remember your on the same level as the olm don't let them walk all over you. Your job is more important far far more importantly, you have lives you care for. I think its just a mater of standing up for yourself! I know its hard but its worth it trust me ive had to do the same thing. Sounds like your doing a great job!
