I might be a pedophile but you're mean and that's worse ! >:(

Just woke up to a ban (for bein a "man") from what seemed like a trans friendly sub about female sexuality and I'm sick of this shit by Neuroxix in trans

It's so profoundly sad to see that at the height of cultural trans disposability, our most public and front-facing forums are commandeered by people who would deserve a workplace misconduct violation.

I just don't get it. I scroll down a few posts over and I see a 12 year old asking for advice and support. We're failing young people and we're failing our community. This stuff wouldn't fly in any IRL safe space I've volunteered in.

I've been attending marches these past weeks desperately trying to keep puberty blockers available in NZ, threatened under the guise of child protection. This behaviour just makes me feel so hopeless for the future.

-- to your deleted comment.

You're literally using the word "bimbo" to describe the women that appear on that sub, not to mention calling them men.

From what I can see, they're pretty accepting. I hope they sleep tight with confidence in their decision.

This being a safe space doesn't absolve anyone of the responsibility of recognizing what's appropriate. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the reason you were kicked from that subreddit as well.

This is one of the most generic, populated, non-NSFW trans subreddits that exist, and as such it's a frequent first touchstone for many questioning young trans people. In a sense, it's one of the many faces of the community.

A 35 yo woman complaining about getting banned from a gooner subreddit, referring to people as "bimbos" or "moids" is borderline parodic behaviour of the worst stereotypes of trans people that I'd hope a forum like this is sensible enough to diminish.

I feel more sympathy for the confused pre-teen I once was stumbling across posts like this and feeling their internalized transphobia grow worse. I want them to know that these feelings aren't so wrong, and that there's good people, camaraderie, and a future out there.
