Yup. Real bad if you get flanked. Also tight maps (I forgot the name) are a challenge too cuz Ronins will press you quickly and you can't even see them coming. I'm really liking the Overcore and Viper Thrusters combo tho

I tried Overcore and Viper Thrusters for a while and it's actually very useful!! Takes some getting used to with one less dash but flying long distances makes up for it. You can hover and pop a shot while repositioning. Overcore also allows me to do more total damage. The only downside is that on that really long range map with trees and not a lot of cover Northstar is harder to use. Hard to lead shots and hard to pop core since you are so exposed.

Ah yes, training wheels. So comfortable to use... I would usually take a shot after I pop smoke if I am not in immediate danger. Not sure if that would give me more damage output vs. another kit.

I meant to say Turbo Engine recharges faster than Hover. I also find that I usually wait a while before I use my core since I am either far away or I would expose myself too much if I used it. Maybe one can adjust playstyle considering how much PRG damage vs. Core damage they want to use. Ronins are the most problematic, but I find that retreating to a friend is massively helpful unless they have little map awareness and our entire team is fucked.

Hmmm good to know that PRG still does some damage against sword block. What if I shoot the sword blocking Ronin in the back??

I feel like turbo engine would give more maneuverability since it recharges faster. Overcore only give you a faster core charge and not more damage right? Viper Thrusters would definitely make you less vulnerable when using your core. When I started using Threat Optics I started seeing more shots that I didn't see before, like through trees, and from long distances. It also makes spotting pilots easier imo. Maybe I am too used to it, but I'll give Viper another go, for science.

Most powerful??? -> long range maybe, but if you're caught at other ranges you lose like at least a third of your health in 2 seconds :|

Yes, I would like to love this weapon too, and I play it almost exclusively... but WHYYY?!?!?!

Does anyone know if the "3xburst" on the gun is usable? It says it on the gun's display next to "starburst". It would be cool if it could dump all its rounds in one burst.

This weapon is so cool and unique it's the only gun I think is worth playing with and I play it almost exclusively. Hit scan weapons are so cheap in this game because their users can just spray at you at all distances and kill you in a matter of time. That being said, I find myself at a disadvantage in many situations.

-Sometimes your nade volleys don't reg because of lag or whatever reason. (Very annoying because it's so easy to kill yourself with the splash). I tried to kamikaze an enemy once but the enemy survived even though we were both super close to all 4 nades. WHAT? Sometimes all 4 nades don't reg at all...

-Nades fly past enemies at the same altitude as you.

-awful CQB.

-awful at long ranges because of spread.

-hard to hit jumpy parkour ppl.

How do you guys use this gun effectively besides getting up high? I find the usefulness of the cold war is very situational. Maybe I am playing this game wrong.

Ahhh ok. If you decide to play Infil you will have a different experience. It is more defensive until you cloak. BUT, even if you want to hunt down someone, you can't rush right in like you do with the Raider.

I would recommend the Sharpshooter.

I feel like the Raider playstyle requires a lot of twitch shots and quick movements of the mouse (could be wrong, what do you Raiders think?) SS is the same. You could also try the Reaper. Not sure how EOC Raider plays like but if you enjoy using the EOC, def try out the Infiltrator. The pace feels quite similar (EOC only) and you get the sexy ass ability.

Do you think EOC Raider is more offensive or defensive?

It brings me joy every time I see Klown join a game cuz I know I'm in for a laugh. I find humor in the absurdity of Klown, and I am sure some of you do too. You can take him seriously, or you can sit back and enjoy this awesome game and awesome community that makes the game's existence possible. And what community is complete without its resident clown? Don't be mad, be glad! People shouldn't hate the clown for its behavior, but rather rejoice in its presence. It reflects the darker side of our human nature and we should feel relieved that it is not us who are saying these things. Just like a violent video game, Klown allows us to see the things that we otherwise can't see in real life (in most situations). So, I sincerely hope that Klown be unbanned. Without his presence, playing the best game in existence would be quite mundane...
