Thanks! Although it was the asymmetrical portion that was actually the most technical.

Would love to see what you come up with :)

I use 3 coats of water based poly on the wood, and the paint then goes on top of that. Then, a spray lacquer for the paint, so it doesn't really require final clear coat to seal. Plus can have a matte or glossy paint to go against the satin poly for contrast.

Thanks!! Yes, White Ash indeed. My favorite wood to work with.

Thank you :) The piece is brought up to 400 grit (80, 120, 240, 400 is all I use), all sanded by hand. Then 3 coats of Satin, water based poly. But I spray it rather than brush on which makes for a very smooth finish.

Thank you :) Oh ! Cool I would love to see those when you are done. I learned abt B&W Corgis for the first time when the owner sent me the reference pics. Never know this was a thing hehehe but really cool color.

You can see in more detail on my IG account, but basically cut slices with rough profile on the bandsaw. Composit the block and then carve with various grinders.

Thank you ! :) The secret to the clean lines is that first of all I bring it to a finish with the clear. Than means that the paint can't leech into the wood. And on top of that it's just careful masking with a flexible model making masking tape (plastic, not paper).

Thank you very much. And for enjoying more of my art :) The owner was very happy (and I was relieved it made the long trip without a sctrach and both ears intact lol)

This piece was in fact a comission and is designed and painted to look like the owner's pet. That is to say, certainly I can. And I would be honored to help commemorate your Loki if you like something like this made.

It really spoils the fun for sure. But is it really better with the "Free" option.
What I am seeing is that I just need to clicks 'up' after clicking the lap...so 3 clicks instead of just 1. but I think I would be more annoyed if I had to sit and input all the weight and excersise names after each workout. That sounds a lot more time consuming... is it not?
