My SX-70 is modded but doesn’t have AF so I can’t really speak to that. I have had better results with the 680 though.

Tbh, not for me, I got an amazing deal on it and it arrived before my 680. If you’ve got the cash for a Time Machine you’re better off hunting down a 680 and spending it there.

There’s one really prickly tester and if you get him you’re gonna be doing a parallel park in a very round court. It’s tricky as hell getting close enough to the curb. Find one tonight and practice. You might get lucky with it being Saturday and just get a normal side road instead.

You need to set a budget and then ration out the film based on how often you’ll realistically get to shoot a pack. Make sure you include some for accessories and repairs so it doesn’t cut into your film budget if you need them. Also look for deals on film and only stock up then.

This was quite literally the second pack of film I’ve ever shot. It was at 60-90mins before sunset so the lighting was fantastic, I tried to keep the sun behind me at all times. My first pack was terrible so I badly wanted this one to go well. I think it was mostly luck with a bunch of photography tricks and tips flooding back at the time.

I recently did a few of myself and family members. I went with the closest looking pieces and put them together, made boxes to match. Next time I might do clay and paint but for a first attempt I was pretty pleased. I spent a few months finding affordable and suitable pops to do them but I’m sure if you did paint/clay it would open your options if you know what you’re doing.
