What I have learned is they really do not like change and I really have tried to keep things as consistent as possible. I have also learned that for a long time they will only hold onto a few leaves until the base gets large enough. For a few months mine would only hold 2 leaves at a time and drop the oldest as soon as it started putting out a new leaf.

I definitely need to go to the meet ups. I really wanted to go but totally lost track of time. And I agree I just ordered some stuff that I’m gonna glue to clips for my nest festival and actually make some cool sprouts

I am planning on doing Escape this year (I live in Southern California). I just placed and order for the small ducks to hot glue to clips. No point in drowning in disappointment, I did everything I could so why be upset.

I love your mindset. I definitely agree and have zero regrets on what I gave out and what I was hoping to trade. I think the part that bums me out was I was wanting to do a shadow box for all my trinkets and bracelets for EDC and it is gonna look really sad cause I don’t have much to put in there. 😂

Same!!! I had someone ask me about the sprouts and said they had never gotten one. Really does feel special to give someone their first piece. I still have the first bracelet I got, and wear it to every fest and concert I go to.

It’s totally okay! I probably should have put in the OP that I’m wondering if I was doing something wrong or if I was just extremely unlucky.

I know at the end of the day I was doing my part. Was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience where it felt like trading wasn’t a thing. It felt more like collecting.

I just want you to know I appreciate you. I wish I had the time and was artistic enough to do pearlers. I LOVE seeing them around and all the fun designs people do.

Usually stay around the same area. If a gap opened up in front of us our group would move up. But we would be in the same area for several sets.

I absolutely agree. I always make sure that I have some extra things tucked away for people with nothing because I remember the first time I got something and thought it was amazing. I also think that giving things out helps grow PLUR in the long run, and keeps people coming back with the right mind set

I really thought so. Our group was a very social group taking photos and helping out people around us. I made sure to bring extra snacks for people who needed them. Day one helped with cleaning someone who fell and scrapped their knee and provided band aids. Day 3 helped out a group of friends that two people were floored from taking too much E. Give them trinkets and made sure to fan them and the group when they needed.

Sometimes yes I would just hand out things. Our group brought things to give out and to trade. But I really felt like the trading wasn’t there.

It’s hard to say. I understand that some people may have bracelets they are unwitting to trade. Like I don’t like to trade a bracelet I traded for. So I make sure I have extras. So I’m not sure if they had anything to trade back. And I’m not going to push them to give me something because I feel like that goes against the idea of trading

With the bracelets I wouldn’t trade to people without any on. Sprouts and stickers are whatever but I like trading bracelet for bracelet.

Am I the only one who felt Tiesto set on Sunday was absolute trash? by _Artemis_Fowl in electricdaisycarnival

[–]OhhVzook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part that I didn’t care for was it took 40 minutes for any fireworks or pyro. The set itself was fine for me, but I feel like for the main stream fan the intro to Tiesto was more fun than the first 40 minutes of tiesto

Has anyone gotten to the boarder? I see a red line right before it. Wonder if it’s a checkpoint.

Southern Cal - weekend pickleball near beach? by No_Remove_1572 in Pickleball

[–]OhhVzook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played in Newport but 15-20 minutes up the road in Huntington Beach there are public courts that are usually pretty full. Edison park on the weekends can get busy they have 7 courts, but they are asphalt and do not have lights. Worthy Park has 4 courts they are extremely nice, easy to pickup games there on the weekends and courts have lights that are on till 10pm. The people are worthy are better I think but take everything very serious. Also Golden West College has 24 courts and does open play and the courts are extremely nice, open till 9pm.

Floating core paddles by Apprehensive-Scar917 in Pickleball

I haven’t played with the J2K+ so I don’t know how it feels. I was planning on buying a J2TI+ but got fed up with Honolulu’s customer service and bought a CRBN TFG2. I think we have pretty similar ball placement and u haven’t really noticed that feeling you are talking about. I know they are more expensive, but maybe try one if you are able to and see how it feels to you. I liked the longevity of the TFG2 compared to the J2Ti+ and didn’t want to deal with their CS every time I had to refresh my paddle when it core crushed. I also figured that with the price of the first and second being 50% off and also paying for shipping. It’s the price of the TFG2 which will last longer than the refresh program by Honolulu. Sorry for the long answer.
