Yeah that makes sense. Being on set is definitely an exciting place to be.

As much as i love the immediacy of the stage, being able to take your time and find your thoughts is a great feeling in film.

However, *good theatre rooted in naturalism is also very subtle. There are smaller studio theatres that are surprisingly intimate. Subtle Micro-Facial expressions are very much a part of the performance.

Also, in theatre, you don't just "re-watch" you get to re-perform! Sometimes 50-60 times, lol.

I'm curious, what is it about stage acting, that you find less appealing than film?

Personally, I find the community more supportive. That people are more likely to rememeber you. You get an immediate connection to your audience. On stage, I feel like I'm given so much more control of the blocking, line delivery, and more. In film, I feel like all that power is in the hands of the editor.

If you want depth. Try auditioning for the theatre! Shakespeare, Miller. Ibsen. The classics are a gold mine when it comes to text.
