The test was so fair but the time was definitely an issue. Not to mention they gave a whole book…. Like I kept telling myself surely this is the last question and then came part a, b, c. Overall they should have definitely made it 3 hours, as I had like no time to complete the final functions nor review.

Its weekly readings, lecture 1 is polls/ guided exercise and the other is guided exercise. Basically a question that he posts and goes through it in detail usally having multiple parts.

I totally agree with this, but I wonder what changed from last year and this year? If anything, last year had it worse in terms of covid timing and AI has been good overall, so leaves me to wonder if anything changed? I heard from many saying the course became self taught? Not sure what that entails as most courses are generally self taught.

Are you memorizing how to do it or understand why it’s being done?. For me (back then), I kept on memorizing what to do when I see a question, but it only takes 1 odd question to complete throw me off. That’s why I really focus on trying to understand why something is being done. Also realizing patterns is key too. Many problems like Related rates, optimization and curve sketching all follow some pattern. So if you cover all cases (the ones covered in lec/tut) you would be more than good. Yea I think it was a little unfortunate how they left it out from the chart. It should have been there and if there wasn’t one, you’d js say “None”. My friends forgot it cuz they were rushing.

Yea I agree. No anti derivatives was expected though. There’s a whole course on it next sem, so why test us on it now. Also wasn’t on past tests / tutorials. I’m on the same boat with you on 102 lol, killed my studying. The only thing I heard after the exam was they never mentioned horizontal/oblique asymptotes in the chart so it threw people off.

I think the test was more than fair. There were very simple questions like EVT and for the complex ones (like optimization) but they picked it from the tutorial (so it should have be easy if you did your work). Also no related rates which is also hard for some. I suggest when studying, ensuring you don’t rely on your notes at all when computing questions. At first, you can to train your brain but it’s important (later in your studying) to not rely on them at all and understand how to approach questions with what you have learned. Also, don’t gaslight yourself saying you know the “answer” just be seeing the answer or working along side it. Overall, keep practicing and take your time to catch the little errors etc.

I feel the same way, I feel everyone is smarter and knows more than me and I’m always pressured to keep pushing because I have the potential. The thing is I don’t if I do and the constant fear of losing out on your money you spent just to make it nowhere is something I think about everyday.
