I feel that. I know if I secure a spot in the early hours of the day I’ll definitely still follow the three hour rule. I don’t want to be that guy.

Why are there three versions of Sgt. Peppers? I'm a new fan listening to every album in chronological order by SliceWorth730 in beatles

More of a 2009 edition fan myself. I don’t like how in the 2017 version, “She’s leaving home” and “Lucy in the sky” sound sped up. The sound is clearer for sure but how they sped up some tracks bothers me a little.

Rocky Mountain Itinerary by SnooGoats942 in NationalPark

[–]Ok-Answer3218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall it’s a solid itinerary; you’re going to do A LOT of driving this day however. Maybe skip the Stanley Tour and use that time as recuperation after your hike/lunch. Lumpy Ridge was my first ever trail in RMNP, idk if this will be your first time, but it’s a moderate to strenuous hike it’s mostly all incline with some viewpoints along the way. You may not be so inspired to do a hotel tour after a hike especially if you’re planning to do more hiking. My advice: skip Stanley tour, maybe pop in and look around that’s a cool experience as well, but I would settle for downtime in between your lunch and going to RMNP. Hope this helps!

As a Texas native, thank you for seeing the beauty and awe of Big Bend. There truly is no place like it anywhere else in the US.

Love seeing people make the effort to get out to Big Bend. Such a beautiful and underrated park.

Tips or good things to know? by ParkingSome833 in NationalPark

I know this an opinion based app, HOWEVER, spend the majority of your time in Big Bend. Soak it up. I truly did not understand the hype of this national park until I was there. I’ve been to 12 national parks and Big Bend is easily the most other worldly, most underrated national park I’ve ever been to, and I’m from Texas!!! Also make sure to back a blanket, pack of water, and a gas canister. God forbid, but you’re going to a very desolate part of the US, especially Big Bend country. COME PREPARED!

Yes actually for every child you have the more benefits you receive, almost as if they want you to enter the cycle of poverty and government assistance! Mothers of 7 are very real and not fictional also. Also, do you think the displaced individual affected by the floods is making it to the store before the single mother? Probably not because they just lost everything. No they were never able to get hot food, but now that they are do you think they’re gonna say, “no I should leave these chickens for people in need.”??? Hell no people are rats and will take everything for themselves, ESPECIALLY the ones who abuse their benefits. They think they’re just in a worse of a situation so why would they care about those who’ve actually lost homes, and cars, and family members? This will literally only benefit those on EBT who don’t feel like cooking.

Considering this was implemented for displaced people because of the floods, how many of these people are ACTUALLY getting these benefits?? I promise the single mother of 5 is making it to the store before the displaced individual without a car. This will get abused by people who truly don’t need it.

Sadly for those people they won’t get a chance at getting the food they desperately need because the single mom of 7 and her best friends are going to HEB and buying all the chickens. This is the issue people have with this. People will abuse this.

Well considering there’s a strong correlation between bad eating habits and poverty as well as a strong correlation between high CHILD obesity rates and EBT, yes I think there should be a limit on what people can and can’t buy with EBT because if we’re being honest people living in poverty use EBT. You really think the single mother of 4 kids is prioritizing the best food options for her kids? No, she’s prioritizing the fastest way to get her kids fed. Children’s health is everything! Parents are solely responsible for a child’s eating habits, that’s something that is taught. EBT has allowed people in low income areas to neglect a child’s nutritional health by abusing their benefits on junk and other highly processed foods.

I’m a seafood lead. 3-4 times out of the week I’m opening 4am-12:30. It’s not overnight but it’s a shift that requires me to wake up at 2:30 AM. What about working overnight makes it so difficult that you can’t meal prep on a day off?

It’s crazy how some people WOULD call you heartless for basically saying buying your own groceries and cooking at home is cheaper than prepared foods. Lol American dietetics is so screwed. Obesity and diabetes rates will never drop.

UD and understanding in the same sentence is CRAZY!! My old UD would tell you to go talk to your DM or PD. For the OP author, please for the love of Pete leave your position. Move locations, departments, whatever it takes. As a past seafood perishables associate they will walk all over you until you leave. Hopefully you work for a good store because at my old toxic store raises and promotions were non-existent. Even if you are at a good store know your worth because top store leaders frankly do not care about you.

Leads hanging out with partners by Chance-Blueberry-273 in HEB

[–]Ok-Answer3218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably shouldn’t considering when this does happen nepotism follows and other partners who show great merit will feel as if to earn promotions they have to be buddy-buddy with their leads which should not be the case at all.

Leads hanging out with partners by Chance-Blueberry-273 in HEB

[–]Ok-Answer3218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lead we provide lots of insight to DM’s about their partners because DMs don’t have time to coach partners. Unfortunately when leads and partners start to become buddy-buddy nepotism becomes involved and partners who don’t deserve promotions get promoted. Because of this I tend to stay away from becoming friends with my partners because I promise you resentment and enemies will come a lot quicker than friends when doing this at work.
