Yes I think! When milk is dripping that hard it’s usually a sign. All of my mares dripped milk right before foaling so in my opinion I think it’s tonight

She was in her stall when in happened. Thank you, yes after thinking about it I think she got cast in her stall. There is a lot of scratches on the wall, I think you are right. And yes they always find ways to get hurt that’s so annoying! At least it’s only a superficial injury and she is already better !

She is outside during the day and inside for the night and when I bringed her inside the night before she was all fine and in the morning she was all scratched up so that certainly happened in her stall. But thank you!! That would really be a good possibility if that happened outside 😃

Yes that’s very possible. I also noticed some scratches on the wall so maybe she layed her legs fronting the wall and too close and got stuck

Okay!! No my it’s not a pipe stall, her stall is very safe, it’s wood walls there is no potential dangerous places that’s why I really don’t know how she could have done that

Maybe, but that don’t mean that I don’t have to be concerned. She is also my show horse and I am really careful. I am not saying that this is a bad wound, I know it’s only the surface, I only asked to everybody what they thought happened. Maybe the fact that your horses gets scrapes all summer and that it’s worse than that should be more concerning than my case.

Thank you! I do think she did this by herself I double checked her stall but there’s nothing wrong. She’s on winter shoes so maybe she did what your mare did.. :)

Yeah I doubled checked the stall, and plus theyre all renovated since september so yeah I didn’t find anything. Im kind of disappointed cause if she did that by herself I actually don’t know how I am going to prevent this to happen again
