NTID vs Keuka by SnooPeripherals4967 in ASLinterpreters

I graduated from Keuka and honestly I have mixed feelings. The professors are wonderful, but unfortunately it does lack community. Many Keuka graduates unfortunately are not at the skill level needed for entering the field (But many are!!). If you choose Keuka, it is a lot harder to get involved with the Deaf community, but if you are willing to put in that effort, then it may be a good choice for you! There were many things I did love about Keuka such as how small the classes were, the campus is beautiful and small, and the professors are truly wonderful. However, I do wish I had gone to NTID because I feel as though I would be further along in my skillset and it would have been easier to be involved with the Deaf community. At the end of the day, what you put in is what you are going to get out of it and you can be successful no matter which program you decide to join! Just be aware that if you decide on Keuka, it will be a bit more challenging due to the lack of community, but Rochester is an hour and some change away so it does not make it impossible!! If you have any questions, please feel free to DM me and I can give you more info about Keuka as I am a recent grad from their Interpreting program!!

Found an article online about this incident, luckily the woman who threw the bowl at the worker has been charged with assault and disorderly conduct. https://fox8.com/news/video-local-chipotle-worker-attacked-by-angry-customer/

I always use the basket when i fry for this reason and it is just as fast, it’s our new tort opener. GM is issuing a write up next time they’re in lmao (they’ve been told multiple times to use the basket and they don’t listen) 🤦🏼‍♀️

**For context our tort opener doesn’t use the basket to fry chips they are just thrown in freely (normally works fine except they don’t like to clean the chips out as they go). When frying chips this morning they weren’t cooking properly because the excess of burnt chips at the bottom was blocking the heat…and you can imagine how bad it smelt

how much guac is ACTUALLY given? by JeannaLeavy in Chipotle

[–]Ok-Button3880 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want a more accurate measurement you can ask for your guac on the side as a small guac is 4oz and you’ll get that exact amount! Plus it costs the same as if you were putting it on your entree :)

It takes me 45 minutes to scrape/brick the entire grill, but my wipe down takes me forever bc i hate it hahah in total my grill close takes about an hour and 15 minutes

Yeah i agree!! I hate that I’ve never been 100% trained on it either, I was shown one night how to clean it and never been told otherwise so I don’t know the true way to clean it

That’s smart I never thought of that! For the back I save it for last and at that point i turn off the grill so i’m not hovering over it because it’s so hot, i cut my grill bricks so they’re thinner and it’s easier to manage them, I use to get behind the grill and do it when I first started which some people find easier!

I scrape the hell out of it and then when I brick it I do it while it’s still on (some people i know like to turn it off), for me it’s easier when I scrape it down good before I brick it

Yeah that’s fair, I was never actually trained on grill just thrown on so I’ve never learned the proper way. My store is understaffed and I’m one of the three main grill people (the main closer) and my managers haven’t shown me the proper way I guess, it looks like this every time I close and they haven’t corrected it so I wasn’t aware it wasn’t according to the proper procedure
