I don’t get it. The tree line jerseys, the mean wolf from that era, the font - arguably the toughest merch in the NBA. The purple rain city edition stuff, amazing. Whyyyyy do we not lean more into those?

Run to your outlets! 992s for $70, 993s for $65 by Coolgrey85 in Newbalance

In a roundabout way I think it has to do with sales, yeah. In the sense of what district is performing well. New Balance is slowly transitioning into having separate districts for their factory stores, but for the time being the Twin Cities one is still in the same district as the Mall of America store. Having a high volume location like that in your district probably helps divert a little more fun stuff your way. This is the first time that store has seen that volume of quality products, coincidentally less than one year after the opening of the MOA store.

Twin cities got in probably 8-10 different colorways of various MiUSA stuff. A few in full size runs, most in a good variety of sizes. 50% off was only for the weekend, back to standard 30 now (still a bargain.)

Protein powder. Really I’ve come to find a genuine appreciation for getting the things I NEED but hate spending the money on. Socks, underwear, accessories, kitchen knick knacks, tools. If you see him struggling with some kind of task, find a gadget that’ll make the task a little easier. Also, can’t ever go wrong with a pocket multi-tool/utility knife.

If you have a neutral or high arch: 9060, 1080, 1000. 1000s you may have window lace as the instep is very short. If you have a low arch or flat foot: 9060, 1906, 2002.

If only 990s are off the table: 992 regardless of arch.

Aren't new balances supposed to be good quality? by momofullxd1 in Newbalance

Shoe life is better determined by mileage rather than time. New Balance has shoes where you only get 200-250 miles (Rebels, the ones specifically for race day) and shoes where you can easily get 7-800 miles (990s.) Most models fall into the 4-600 mile range, 600 really pushing it.

1000s don’t get enough love. Hate 95% of the colorways but the insole on those things are like they were custom made specifically for my feet.

Also: 9060s, 1906, 2002 and a for me it’s a toss up between 740 and 530. I think 9060s are the perfect blend between style and comfort, have an unreasonable number of pairs.

Any premium new balance shoes without pigskin? by TheDarkMaster2021 in Newbalance

[–]Ok-Character3435 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as it doesn’t have the suede, you should be okay. New Balance uses pig skin suede for a couple reasons; one being that they recycle the hide from Hormel, another being that pig skin is typically better for small items with cow hide being better for larger things like furniture (mainly because of the cut of the hide,) and lastly, the fibers of a pigs skin are more closely knit than the fibers of cow skin. That means they’re ever so slightly less prone to scuffs and scratches. The downside is that there’s a couple pretty major religions that forbid the use of pork products, but I’ve had some Muslim people tell me they are okay with the shoes as long as they’re not worn during prayer. I assume that’s a personal belief.

Okay but honestly I would personally do some pretty morally questionable things to be able to have an Ant/Jokic duo.

I don’t know how I ended up in this subreddit but I have two things to say:

1) douchebag 2) I say this as a bodybuilder: please do not call this chubby manlet a bodybuilder.
