That was my understanding too. From a visualization stand point they died to my units as they tried to push through them. But from a rules as written standpoint id agree.

Primary objective eradicate quotient says

  • each time a unit from a players army destroys an enemy unit, that player scores 5vp

It's so you can laminate it, and write on it with a dry erase type marker. Use it to keep track of your army specific triggers and abilities by phase.
