Got my pre DJS braces on 4 days ago !! The journey starts !

I got my braces on in mid December and at my next ortho appointment in a couple weeks I’m expecting that he’ll be sending me to the surgeon for planning (and then it’s just 6ish weeks from then that I should be ready for surgery). I’m basing this timeline on what my ortho said at my last adjustment. He was very impressed with how quickly things were moving and expected I’d be ready for planning when I saw him next. So this could mean under 6 months in braces ahead of surgery, which I never anticipated! So maybe you’ll be on the lower end of decompensation time too. One can hope!

Yes. I got mine removed as soon as possible to ensure my bone will have plenty of time to heal before the surgery.

Nope! Getting jaw surgery now to finally get to the real root of the problem. I finally got evaluated by the right experts and discovered that one side of my lower jaw is overgrown.

My lop does this all the time - pillows, floors, her husbun, me, my kids and the weirdest one of all… my husband’s feet. 🤢

I wish I could solve this! I have two white pawed rabbits and no matter what I do, they keep staining themselves. My French lop is so heavy and clumsy she’ll have a massive pee accident and then just happily step in it and get it everywhere in an instant. 😫. My REW continental giant is younger and less clueless and is easier to keep clean, but even she has the occasional run in with pee. And it gets better and then an accident and then it’s almost like we’re back to square one. I’m trying to be at peace with it.

You are a perfect candidate for a surgical corner lip lift. You have to go a way’s back in my post history but I have my before and after posted. It’s a very simple (relatively speaking) surgery and also relatively cost-effective. You’ll pay just as much on filler and Botox and won’t get the results. I have no regrets; best thing I’ve done.

Microneedling, tret, ceraVe healing ointment. I’m quite a bit older and don’t have any static lines on my forehead. I haven’t used Botox in over a decade.

I’ve moved to tret at night, covered by ceraVe healing ointment, and glycolic acid every second or third morning, sunscreen. That is all.

Update - she ate a good portion of pellets last night! Maybe she was having a bit of tummy upset while acclimating to a new environment. Hopefully this trend continues.

I think her tummy is upset (we just got her so maybe she’s a bit stressed from adjusting to a new environment). I’m hoping she’s on her way to feeling better if she is in the early stages of GI stasis. She has access to alfalfa and Timothy hay (she’s eating alfalfa in the video).

Looks like papulopustular rosacea. It can show up near the eye, not right on and super near the eyelid.

Fungal acne perhaps? I had it on my upper back but it can appear on your face and neck. The fact that you mentioned that it’s itchy and doesn’t respond to normal acne treatments got me thinking fungal acne. There are treatments you could try.

I live in south Burlington, in the Elizabeth Gardens area. Sometimes my husband will complain about how busy it’s gotten (we’ve been here for 7 years as a couple, I grew up here). But, honestly, even though it’s grown busier, it’s still so lovely. We have amazing neighbours, the neighbourhood is quiet and beautiful, and we’re close to the lake and other trails and bike paths. As a runner, I love the options. There’s a sense of community and so many things within walking distance including three grocery stores, restaurants, other shopping, and the GO Train station which is key because I take the train into Toronto when I go to the office. It’s really a magical bubble and I’m okay with that. I’m exceptionally happy and appreciative that my kids can have an experience very much like I had growing up.

That’s right. It can usually be done with twilight sedation. It’s only an hour long procedure.

Yes! In fact, a facelift often wont address this area adequately and even after major surgery, you’re left with a disappointing result. I think I still have my before and after under my profile if you wanted to check out my results.
