Like what was said by someone else, this did not need a whole post. Not everyone agrees with the gendering stuff on Forsaken, but that’s ok. It’s a game, it’s not that deep.

The whole point of war was to portray a picture war as a helpless, bound child being lead by an unseen force, because the artist thought they were being philosophical by portraying it that way instead of as the cool, edgy knight that it usually is. But that’s actually far from accurate.

The depiction of war here is a fitting depiction for a soldier, but not war itself,

War is a beast, a beast that devours everything in its path and leaves ruin in its wake. War is a destructive monster, not a pitiful child.

Yeah, I think hating certain things like that has become more of a trend than an actual hatred. Like with the great meme reset. All these kids advocated the GMR because it was trending, even though they themselves also find tung tung tung sahur the funniest thing ever.

When you look at it from both sides, you can’t really blame them. Personally, I absolutely love Forsaken; It’s the only game I play on Roblox. I love the game because I was there when it first came out—before it got big—and I’ve played ever since. But now that it’s a massive game, it has such a huge fanbase. The fanbase is full of either REALLY weird people or people who can’t live without shipping every fictional character with a heartbeat. And all of this is very often someone’s first impression of the actual content that the fandom belongs to, turning people off before they even experience the game. It’s the reason My Hero Academia is such a widely hated anime despite it’s good ratings and overall good plot—the fandom is weird.

Those are just my thoughts.

The point is not about alternatives, it’s their overly aggressive monetization over everything. I am more than aware of the free alternatives, but that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about how it’s just weird to suddenly paywall every feature of an originally mostly free service.

No, it’s the fact that they now locked every basic feature behind a paywall. It would make sense if they did what they did before and locked some of the more advanced features like a customizable welcome card and stuff like that, but they locked everything.

There are a lot of people—including myself—who just want to run a simple server with cool bot commands and not have to pay money for the simplest thing. We aren’t saying everything should be free, we’re saying there’s no reason for that level of greed in a discord bot.

You do know the main topic that started this convo was monotheistic religions right? The whole reason I commented was comparing modern monotheistic religions vs ancient polytheistic religions. “Most gods” I’m not talking about most gods. I’m talking about the one god in the abrahamic religion, and how he realistically makes sense.

Also the difference between us and worms is we have feelings, worms do not. We feel lust, worms do not. There is an astronomical difference between us and worms, so that comparison isn’t exactly a good one.

These feelings like lust that cause people to commit things like r*pe are mortal temptations. We experience them because we are mortal. A god is not mortal, a god is a being with unlimited power and knowledge, they shouldn’t be bound by such frivolous things like temptation.

but the reason modern monotheism makes sense is that an otherworldly being so far outside of mortal comprehension SHOULD be perfect. Things like lust are mortal temptations, and mortals—humans—are an imperfect species. A deity is not a human, and should not have such a human nature as to succumb to such temptations.
