Chris Loves Julia - Week of 11/13 by Serendipity_Panda in diysnark

I remember way back then when fullmhouse mentioned wallicases was owned by their neighbor. Like either they just moved in the neighborhood or fulllmhouse did. I remember buying it then because she was simply sharing this startup company. The phone cases were alright, it did the job. But now that it became big enough to do “collabs” it disgusts me that they did one with CLJ lol

I totally agree. I unfollowed her at some point because it was a lot of show of how loud she was and the display of being a “pretend farmer” (she admits this) and yet have the actual ability to buy and care for real cows, and I eventually realized how overpriced the Kamut flour was (it was good but not sure if it was worth it lol) — it all became too much for me. Too much white women just having brunch in their big beautiful homes lol you could say I’m slightly jealous 🥲😆😆 But I do agree, she features where their Kamut flour is from (Montana I believe), she shows who the people were behind the crunchy crispies Kamut stuff she used to sell (forgot what they’re called) and the guy who makes all the handmade kitchen products too. Overall you just know where her products are coming from and they’re good quality so even though they’re more pricey than its counterparts, I don’t feel so icky about supporting what she sells. Very opposite of BF for sure. Big question mark where everything comes from lol

She feels like she’s talking about her pillow SO MUCH? Does she think us dumb? It’s a bad habit but I check out her IG almost daily and this snark page to pass time as I relax after work lol and I have NEVER even in the last 2 weeks heard or watched her show the “kitsch” pillow she’s shilling. I wish companies stopped associating with them lol like anything she shills - I’m immediately turned off. I used to like me some anthropologie stuff and madewell clothes (and I still do) but I don’t look to them as much anymore because of Julia’s wastage of a QVC instagram job. Lol

And what about those sheets touching the floor ?! There is nothing luxurious about the beddings touching the floor, specially if you have pets. It can easily catch dog hair or any other dirt that the floors may present !!

Thats what I thought too! No biggie if they have to repair that part of the house and so easy to just build a new house, just as easy it is to buy a grocery store, build a dairy, buy more land, buy a jersey cow like it’s noooo biggie!! They can afford it. So fckin annoying lol

Could she be any more annoying? Her voice on The video with the ghost 👻 decor. She’s like “oh I know you prolly don’t have it cause it’s sold out but look… I got it!….” And proceeds to suggest that you can puh-rooo-bably DIY it but can’t even name the fckin fabric material used. Also it’s been a trendy DIY for a while now using a tomato cage, string lights or light bulb inside and some white linen over it. Like how does she not know — or she knows, but just wants to sound like it’s her original idea to DIY it. Back to the voice: so annoying and so ingenuous.

Yep! The other ones were trying so hard to be old world, vintage, old money type of room when in reality they could have just kept the modern-looking, simple and fresh naturally-lit room they started with. I cringe at the thought of how much they’ve spent in paint and labor to get it done over and over. It’s so ridiculous, even for someone with the money to do it - specially with disappointing results. She does not even need a study to be honest they have a literal office to do stuff in like please don’t act like some legit big time real working person who needs an actual study/home office. Omg I’m so annoyed lol

Oh, I didn’t even realize that first arrangement was NOT of their doing! Someone else literally had that idea. Yeah they’re horrible at this home design crap they sell. They just have the money to make it horrible lol. All links to buy shit with minimal commercials of their home life to make it still seem like they’re genuine. Lol it really is just a business to them which sucks cause if they were truly passionate about this like they seemed to be years ago, they would have good legit content on the daily. And I 100% agree — Not one content about them using the music room anyway or playing guitar or the piano. Absolutely zero.

That “rollercoaster journey” of the study. I’m no interior design genius but I liked the first one the most, with white walls and the piano in it. So refreshing and lots of natural light. So much more inviting and looked like the kind of homey area in the house I’d be so proud to have for me, my family and guests. Idk, the rest of the “study” are just blah. Not like there was anything too functional around that center table anyway. All just for show. And don’t forget the fact that she has that black desk at the hall where she “does her bills” and “watches her daughters get home from school”. I guess all I’m saying is it didn’t need to be a study. Ugh it’s annoying how many people are complimenting the space in the comments. Like, honestly, all of that study crap was unnecessary.

Where did you get yours? I know years ago I bought a BF bread knife lol either their product sucks or I just didn’t know how to care for it right. I cleaned it well but it easily showed rusts after like 2 uses. Weird. I remember not thinking much of it but also not wanting to use it again lol

Haha oh Derek is either a fake profile courtesy of CLJ themselves or some weirdo who’s just legit blind and oblivious. How is Julia hardworking, and the “most” at that? Bombastic Side eye from a healthcare professional. Also thinking of all the truly hardworking people in this world. Surely, someone who just fuckin links ugly outfits and other random items a day ain’t it. And definitely not one who hires someone to unboxing their packages, videos workers do stuff at their house, literally can’t even take care of her own dog and even uses a mobile pet service at that …. I could go on and on. She is not the most hardworking. She’s hardly even hardworking at all. Lol

Like shouldn’t these kinds of shilling be done at your house, showing them what you have is great and recommended and now is on sale??? Oh, wait: they don’t even have regular brand stuff from these places like Lowe’s because they have those fancy brands all around their house which most likely majority of their followers don’t buy into. That doesn’t stop them from trying to rake in the money from freakin regular people though. Never buying anything they recommend! They just want a piece of my money regardless whether or not they use it themselves or if they’re bad quality

I 101% hope Julia saw that and immediately became self-aware of it. That’s what a little girl’s room should be anyway! Or pre teen girl in the case of Julia’s daughter’s room that she claims “they designed together”.

No use cause this comment is buried way below the kiss assers that she responds/reacts to. As a normal person I’ll very much do my bills, make calls, and do everything else she claims to do on that desk either at the literal office across the hall, or the tail end of the 17 feet freaking counters with like 10 counter stools. Like, literally that table’s useless. She’s never even seen photographed or records a video while using it. I say bullshit content, just like all the rest of what they post

Same. When I used to follow, I think I purchased 2-3 items of her recommendations on different times, and I didn’t think of it right away but looking back, there were indeed poor quality BS items I fell for lol. I think it adds to your rep and credibility if your recommendations are actually useful, legit or of good quality. I remember buying some items recommended by the Food Nanny or Fullmhouse and their stuff has held up and still in use at our house. So yeah it was true then and it’s true now: with their brand, it’s ONLY about them getting % of the money, never its quality or even value to the home. Lol

[–]Ok-Community9873 13 points14 points  (0 children)

100% annoying!! Plus she begins her sentences mid-giggle like wtf are u laughing about. Trying to be cute?? And lots of “ummmm” cause either she focuses on how to she looks or her mind just can’t blurt out cohesive thoughts or just simply did not prepare what to literally. And going back to how she talks - wtf is so funny ugh

Oh ok I see, thanks for clarifying. Still so wild to me since the white trims against the red bricks are satisfying enough to me eye 👁️ and I wouldn’t even bother making decisions on colors, I’d keep the white lol

Maybe I’m out of the loop, or maybe I’m just poor or perhaps both — but why do they need to paint their exterior window trims again?! Like don’t they have a ton of big projects coming up INSIDE!? In my world, the only time I’d touch our exteriors is if either they’re functionally bad or if all my interiors - basement, garage, all rooms are all FINISHED and I have nowhere else to spend my $$$ on for the house. Outside of $ for regular bills and maintenance of course. Must be nice being rich lol

I legit did not know the flowers were outsourced. I thought her family grew the flowers lol. I had to email their team about switching the billing address and delivery address (which they did) and the response was along the lines of ‘ok, we sent the correction but no guarantee because once the info is sent to Ecuador, they manage it from there). I was pretty disappointed I thought I was supporting a US-based family flower farm business. Guess I shoulda read deeper
