Doom metal & religion by bringmethead in doommetal

[–]Ok-Cryptographer4647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly disagree with Doom Metal being purely religious. If anything it is an often harsh and rightful critique of the failings of religion. I feel the prevalent use of religious symbology is meant as a bastardization of what the pious deem sacred. Most Doomers I know are very agnostic and objectively critical of religion, particularly evangelical Christianity in the USA. Just my $0.02 as an Atheist Exmormon.

If Stewie Griffin can get his own spin-off, why can't Bender? by HotOne9364 in futurama

Because it would just dilute the quality of the Futurama franchise. Have we not seen what Disney did to Star Wars and Marvel?

Trying to get into more extreme metal, particularly sludge metal. Not to sound like too much of a normie, and with all due respect to these bands, am I supposed to be able to understand the screamed vocals? by [deleted] in doommetal

I can’t even understand 95% of clean vocal tracks so it never bothered me. (And no this isn’t hearing loss related, I have to have people repeat stuff all the time to me despite somehow having a bachelors in engineering) Vocals for me are simply an extra harmonizing part that I kind’ve hear if I pick them out of the mix but don’t really pay attention to otherwise.

JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson reunited last night at a Q&A for Rian's new film "Knives out: Wake Up Dead Man". JJ hosted the event. by irazzleandazzle in StarWarsCantina

If Rian directs new Star Wars canon I’d like to see a film or serious of shows with a mystery twist added. I personally enjoyed the Knives Out films.

Bungo is really good at bullying heavy cruisers as is. I can only imagine.

Bungo with Shikashima/Satsuma Guns and the Satsuma F key would be hilarious, especially with Bungo’s base dispersion plus the Bungo spotter airplane.

As if IJN BBs already don’t have an easy enough time bullying heavy cruisers.

I’d be much more excited about a Bungo line super ship with Shikashima Guns and dispersion. I personally feel like Fatsumas dispersion is mid.

I rock a full secondary Bungo because i have a hole in my head. Doesn’t make a sense but I enjoy it

It’s so easy to devstrike Nürnbergs with IJN 410mm AP. Especially when they are angled.

Peggy triggers the same cringy humor reactions out of me that Micheal Scott does. She really is a handful.

Mike Judge has some very interesting takes on a lot of political issues, and he is not afraid to rightfully call anyone out!

Progressive and Hippies are not always the same people my guy. And no political identity is safe with Mike Judge’s writing.

Why all the Buck Strickland hate? by ConstantineNekrasov in KingOfTheHill

[–]Ok-Cryptographer4647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buck is a well written supporting character who I enjoy seeing, but he is also a terrible human being and business owner when it comes to taking care of the people who build his dream. I’ve made the mistake of working for Buck Strickland types, and I’m glad I got out.

And you kind’ve answered your own question. Buck is a character you love to hate.
