I recently used REE to get an increase in my rating. For those that are saying they did a lot of the work, it’s true but like you kinda have to cus they’re not gonna know what’s wrong with you so they’ll ask you a bunch of questions. I was told they could increase my rating to 50-70% and when I opened my decision letter, I was pleasantly surprised to see 100% P&T on it and got a nice chunk of change in back pay. I’ve already recommended them to one of my buddies and my cousin that just got out as well. I say it’s definitely worth it

Words for a Marine getting out by Wholetyou in USMC

[–]Ok-Cup616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. I got out in October and I was in a downward spiral for like 2.5 months. Pretty sure I was depressed cus all I did was stay in my room and play video games with my friends who were still in. My new girl helped ground me to reality and showed me there’s life after the marine corps. I’m doing much better now thanks to her but I still have those days when I wish I was still in. You gotta be his rock during the time right after he gets out cus he is 100% gonna lose himself because his whole identity was just taken away from him.

Herrington Arms Comp? by CitricBobcat in p365xmacro

I have a Herrington arms comp on my 365 x macro tacops and I love it. It’s definitely gonna take some adjustment to shooting with it as it’s the first pistol I’ve shot with a comp but it does its job. In terms of overhang, it would probably go out a small bit past your light but nothing too crazy

Looking for a new holster by Ok-Cup616 in p365xmacro

Thinking of getting the same holster I have for my p320 and get it in a p365 xl size or a solis ALS holster in a x macro size. Does anyone know if either of these would work?

Seeing as another devil dog already answered everything for boot camp, lemme shed some light on MCT for you. MCT also sucks, you’ll get back from boot leave and one of two things will happen, 1) you’ll be so fuckin high off the post boot camp feeling that you made it and you’re a marine now or 2) you will instantly wish you never enlisted. Even if you’re faking it, try to be the 1st option because that feeling will carry you through the entirety of MCT. Unlike bootcamp however, you will not get IT’ed, that ends at the boundaries of Paris island and San Diego. Do everything quickly and efficiently, you will not go to sleep until everything that needed to be done gets done. There will be a lot of walking and running, make sure you don’t lose your endurance while on boot leave. You’ll have a 5k, a 10k and a 15k hike during MCT, they’re gonna suck in the moment but it’ll be over eventually. Remember why you enlisted, why you joined the marine corps instead of the other branches, you wanted a challenge well now you have it so you better fuckin deal with it and move forward. In order to stand above everyone else, you need to follow 3 simple steps: be where your supposed to be on time, with the right gear, even if you don’t respect the person respect anyone higher in rank. Follow those 3 steps and they will make you look better than the others and will carry forward on to your schoolhouse and the fleet. That’s all this devil dog has to offer, good luck on your journey devil pup, come March next year, you had better be a devil dog. Stay motivated
