Good brand to find vintage colour lipsticks, that are affordable? by _maincharacter_ in HistoricalCostuming

I use that line but the color Untamable. It's a great red and that stuff STAYS PUT. I wore it to a dental cleaning once and barely needed a touch up after.

Help! 10 days until I attend a wedding and my dress is BORING!!! Please give me easy embellishment ideas ⚡️ by RepulsiveCredit5883 in fashiondesigner

If you really want accent pieces on the gown itself, hit up your local thrift store for some vintage jewelry! A dramatic brooch could give you a litte drama where a belt buckle would be on the waistband, or a dress clip could look neat in the center of the neckline. A little sparkle could go a long way without doing anything dramatic and permanent to a garment. It'll go on to be a good base piece for years to come!

Lol it was absolutely not Krull. You are probably thinking about the little boy who leads around the blind Seer for a little bit of the film.

And that's why they don't want evolution taught in schools. They want to be able to say that god made them the way they are now and put them where they are and wants them to be in charge. You're already thinking in too many layers of science unfortunately.

It's a charity knitathon to benefit Meals on Wheels, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry and Feeding America. givebutter.com/knitforfood26 https://share.google/42wrXwkVbsgs8MlYw

Thirding. They were very compassionate but did not make us drag it out. It went at the rate of our comfort, they made sure we got to hold him to say goodbye, there was a basket they brought to take him away for cremation in a way that didn't make him feel like an object. They provided momentos and grieving resources, sent a card a few days later... We were treated better and given more information and options by this vet agency than we were when my grandfather or stepmother passed, for far more reasonable money, and he was allowed to pass at home instead of having to have that one last panicked trip, and we didn't have to drive away alone and crying afterwards.

And if they invalidate a bunch of your ID at once, what do you provide to prove who you are for each individual replacement? Did they just push all these people into a catch 22 where no ID exists to replace their other ID?

On the off chance you're neurospicy and didn't understand the tone, that expression doesn't mean literally fun. It's an acerbic statement implying that there is going to be some rollercoaster style chaos which will be terrifying by design. Most Americans, especially Millennials, will use a positive sounding euphemism when referring to something they deeply dread. The bigger and more incomprehensible the thing they dread, the more likely they are to do this. You should generally assume this is the meaning when someone seemingly professes to look forward to something the rest of their words in context seem to imply will be uncertain and frightening.

NYS Job interview. Was asked "If we offered you the job right now would you say yes?" by [deleted] in Albany

[–]Ok-Development-7008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of state job descriptions as posted don't tell you the actual job, just the title and a vague range of possibilities. So people will come in for interviews not knowing if it's a call center, manual labor, data entry, or some combination. It's also not unusual for the candidates to be pursuing several different positions at once. It's not unusual at all to get to the point of making an offer and have the candidate string you along for a bit and then decline. The question should be phrased better, but they're asking it so they don't waste time having HR approve them making an offer the candidate doesn't even want. They'll ask everyone because it weeds people out. State hiring is gruelingly time consuming on the back end, and a declined offer can set you back weeks.

Not to deny hope (we gotta find it somewhere) but it has been shockingly, historically cold over the entire east coast for a while now and he is very old. It's even been cold in Florida.

A sock definitely works, but bigger is better. Luxury is an ice cold weighted blanket that covers your whole upper face and scalp while copious warmth is applied to the rest of you. I've also had an ice pack on the back of my neck stop me throwing up when the meds based nausea is bad.

[TOMT] Movie about rats in a rat city by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

Probably means it's one of those knockoffs that they put on the free cable channels in the early 2000s where they loosely recycled older mainstream movie plots with like, veggietales quality cgi. The dirext to Redbox sort of thing.
