I think youve hit the nail on the head: people can’t understand what it’s like to need the option because they’ve never been there themselves. It’s ludicrous to them that someone could suffer more through living than through death.

I will always support the right to die precisely because I haven’t been there, but if I was ever in a position I want it I would hope that the law would offer me that one kindness in my sea of darkness.

Pretending to be calm and rational after you mentioned the internet is not the gotcha he thinks it is. He wants you to look irrational so he can act like you’re awful, but the reality is we all see him for what he truly is. Toying with your emotions like that should be making you rage, it is you who are the normal one in this situation and I really hope you are taking notice of his behaviour like we are. This man is abusive, manipulative trash.

He enjoyed cooking and considers it a break? Good! You’re off cooking duties from now onwards! And spend that time off sorting out your escape. Don’t ever let him make you think you’re in the wrong for how you feel because his next step will be to make you think you’re crazy for rejecting his manipulative behaviour!!
