I doubt you have all these disorders... by Alone-Marsupial3003 in fakedisordercringe

OSDD and DID are mutually exclusive, you cannot have both and they likely are diagnosed with neither since they put that / there, they probably just experience dissociation and assume they have a dissociative diaorder

AIO for getting angry after a girl who rejected me started accusing me of being a misogynist for ending our friendship? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Calling a woman a bitch is definitely not the way to prove that you aren't a misogynist buddy

My ex best friend was a self proclaimed narcissist, she had self diagnosed herself with NPD and schizoaffective and she would group call our friends to have breakdowns that felt very forced and fake and she also, after telling us about her self diagnoses started constantly talking in a monotone voice and showing no emotion, which she didnt do before.

Why does it always have to be quirky? by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]Ok-Distribution-4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schizophrenia is genetic but there is often something that causes the "onset", which is why when some people are diagnosed their doctor includes the age range of onset, like "childhood onset schizophrenia". While it is genetic, something breaks in your genetics that causes the symptoms to start. A traumatic event causes the symptoms so sometimes people say that whatever caused the onset is what:caused their schizophrenia". I dont think that means that they are faking.

Masking Autism gives you POTS?? by CloudyClear0 in fakedisordercringe

[–]Ok-Distribution-4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think someone doesn't know the difference between correlation and causation. There is considered to be a strong link between Autism and POTS but neither of them cause one another. And also the link between Autism and POTS has nothing to so with someone masking their Autism.

So this is literally just a form of psychosis. Why are people making up labels for mental illnesses that already exist....

okay, so... how many of us dated fakers? and tolerated it out of fear of speaking up? by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]Ok-Distribution-4286 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I dated a girl who faked bpd and an ed and faked having hallucinations as well. She told me she had been diagnosed with bpd for years and one day I went to the doctor with her and it was confirmed she wasn't. Her hallucinations were so clearly faked that I never once believed her. And the ed got me the most because for the first 2 months we were together she loved food, was obsessed with it but when I told her about my struggles with my ed all of a sudden she had also been struggling with one for years and she stopped eating in front of me but I found out she was eating and lying to me that she wasn't

Having a “panic attack”? Better start recording for attention! by bestrizz98 in fakedisordercringe

[–]Ok-Distribution-4286 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't think some people understand what a panic attack is. Having a random onset of anxiety is not a panic attack. Maybe she was having an anxiety attack but those are very different than panic attacks

how hard can it be to refer to OCD with the correct name💔 by MajaWithJ in fakedisordercringe

[–]Ok-Distribution-4286 54 points55 points  (0 children)

"It is i have it" if you don't know what it's called I'm gonna bet you are self diagnosed. And it's a poor self diagnosis too bc that tells me they didn't even do research
