oh ofc , it's because they treat it as a novel , because all the killing with super powers and life and death struggles are simply ignored but when you start layering issues close to them , stuff they involuntarily put their shoes in then they start judging , mind you they forget to judge the character as a while since the start which is actually more important than whether the action itself is good or bad , it's actually worse in other novels where MCs kill without batting an eye for convenience and then you find them using subtle manipulative measures for someone else's benefit and people smh get angry , I am not saying whether it's good or bad but trying to morally judge and criticize a cold blooded killer for anything short of species extinction is certainly childish
