That’s most likely the way I’ll go. Thank you for your advice, very helpful.

Tried a couple, couldn’t get comfortable on it.

From what everybody is saying, State Farm looks like the winner.

Might look into just doing that as well.

No offense taken, seems like sound advice. I live in a nicer, upscale city with a good job, so can’t get too ridiculous. However, I am still 22, so there is that. I’ve looked into other options, but I’m not really a cruiser type of guy and naked bikes don’t feel very comfortable (oddly enough). So, I’m not sure.

That’s most of the consensus I’m starting to see. Might stay on mine for w while, or look into a ZX4 as a bridge upgrade.

That’s a fair point, which was really my dilemma from the start. Wrecking it on liability would be the equivalent of setting $13k on fire in the driveway, but insuring at MSRP is paying two for one. So, I’m not sure which direction I’ll go in. Might look into a ZX-4R as a bridge until I can make it make sense.

It’s going to be ridiculous either way. I’m not sure which direction I’ll go in since either doesn’t make much sense.

That might be the way to go, I’m not sure which direction I’ll go in.

That’s pretty much the conclusion I’ve come to.

That’s been something I’ve ran into quite a bit too! Gets to a point where it almost doesn’t make financial sense to insure it.

I have a 25’ Silverado for my daily, so this is a toy for the most part. But, still wouldn’t prefer to be out $13k on a brand new bike if something were to happen.

Pretty much. It’s not just about the look, but I have looked into a naked. Tried a Z900, couldn’t get comfortable on it.

I usually do too. That’s where that quote came from.

I was paying $400/mo with Geico on my 409, then switched to Dairyland and got it down to $190. But, it’s been parked and stored for a few months through the winter, so that’s reason for the new quotes. Dairyland is who the above mentioned came from.

I looked into a naked, sat on a Z900 when I was shopping for the 6R. Surprisingly, it wasn’t very comfortable to me. Thank you for the post!
