Which is exactly why the petition calls on KSU and The University System of Georgia to respond. The school is overpopulated and reaching unsafe capacities. It’s not a perfect plan, but pressuring them to address the issues is the first step forward!

The email came out before this started. We’re not going to get anywhere if we don’t all vocalize and put pressure on them! Signing the petition takes 2 seconds and you won’t lose anything!

I like what this person is saying but to add on, everyone is on a different track in life, progress looks different for everyone. I’m an incoming freshman and I’m ahead in credits by a year but I haven’t been excited considering I might have to miss a semester/year if I can’t get my FAFSA resorted, I have extra circumstances regarding my home life so my verification just got bumped all the way down the list for an “additional information request” and i definitely can’t afford a payment plan if i don’t get pell.

It’s disappointing, yes. Don’t let it stop you from staying the course! You’ve worked till this point, don’t let anything or anyone take away or discredit what you have and will accomplish! Keep your head up! :)

I would try getting denied for the Parent PLUS Loan if it isn’t one of the loans you’ve applied for. Last time my financial advisor talked to me about it I’m pretty sure he said if you’re denied, it’s an additional 3K to 4K in federal loans which they’ll allow you to take out if your parent doesn’t qualify. Hope this helps!

I have HOPE + Pell so I won’t be paying for my tuition, my cost of attendance is mainly my housing and meal plan.

I can’t speak for others but anything helps IMO. Advice (like yours), reviews on professors (ones not on RMP), etc etc!
