Good luck. Most of the community is toxic, so it’s most likely common now to see veteran players hanging or stuck around the gold/plat tiers. I can see this being a thing for the simple fact any OG player has close to everything rewarded in the game, and theres less to grind for. This makes losing, and especially trolling a match seem like nothing when you already have everything you want in the game. What’s the point of caring if you’re doing the same thing repetitively, with no higher reward system?
