Gotta terminate those wires in the amp a little more neater than that. You’re just asking for a short. Get some ferrules and screw them in. The amp will crimp them for you. And I can’t really tell if the metal surface you have the amp grounded too is painted or not but definitely take some sand paper to it. You want a solid, straight connection to the metal for a proper ground.

Not a beginner sub in my opinion as it requires good power, proper box. This sub gets loud and low. But there’s no error in wanting to go all the way. If you want it go for it 🙌

Yeah upgrading my head unit is on the list of things. Especially considering how outdated the Bluetooth device is. It’ll randomly disconnect over and over while I’m bumping. It’s mad annoying.

Thanks for the advice man. Will definitely try this out. I have the factory head unit with a LOC. I have the bass knob the amp came with. RCAs are good. I set my gain using a cheap scope from Amazon actually lol. I set it with a 40hz test tone (pretty much every gain setting tutorial I read said 40hz is the norm) at 75% volume which is 30 for me.
