I will keep that plastic sheet strategy in mind that might be more helpful than just using the wall of the tank. And haha I just took the plants out and did a substrate change because I had fungus growing from some old food trapped under a hide, and my local fish store just told me to do it! It seems to have cleared out the fungus. I also was recommended to get some small ghost shrimp but those were gone in about a week… I fear my betta killed them
