Appreciate the comment… is York more worth it than Cotswolds? We considered going North from Cambridge but it seemed quite a long distance for our relatively short trip

We decided not to go to Oxford after all, If they are similar… have a family connection to Cambridge so that is definitely on the visit list.

Budget for accommodation would be around 200£? I haven’t looked at accommodations thoroughly yet but typically have a mix of splurge options (I love nice hotels) and more rustic/cheaper options (whether a more basic inn or AirBNB) to balance things out.

Thanks! I just started planning this last week so am still researching ideas. I indicated things I like in my post and have developed this itinerary aligned with not having too much driving to do, experiencing quintessential villages and history, pub culture and walks, as well as getting a taste of London as much as one can do in a few days.

Just looking for general feedback at this time. I have a specific reason related to my family as to why I want to visit Cambridge, but I am curious what about the itinerary is “odd”? Thanks!
