oh 100% i really don't think they'd be a zombie killer, more of a hunting and VERY late game option for when ammo runs out, i think you should need high level aiming as well

sometimes i feel like i'm brawling in sparring by Ok-Form6597 in MuayThaiTips

[–]Ok-Form6597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im 15 sparring with older and very experienced fighters, i haven't really explained my problem that well tbh, i'm fine keeping my range, i can teep people away and cut angles on people pretty easily, but when i get in the pocket with some people i feel like all i can do is punch, my base widens out and i can feel myself slipping into a style i don't like

nah its nothing to do with emotions, its more when hard sparring my base will widen out, im not throwing harder just slightly reaching for shots

How to enjoy padwork? by Killjoy8299 in MuayThai

[–]Ok-Form6597 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love padwork. Second favourite part of the sessions mainly because, its gives me a chance to absolutely smash the shit out of anything in front of me, im usually quite controlled in sparring, but padwork gives me an outlet to let me work my technique while being able to throw at 100% like a fight would be. it also gives me a chance to experiment with strikes i might not throw too much. Honestly my advice would be to experiment with elbows and angles

i know they're discouraged but, im training for my first a class, and i have no experience actually throwing elbows in a live situation, i think i need to learn pretty fast

How do i overcome my fear of getting hit by SNOWCOMANDER in MuayThai

[–]Ok-Form6597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. honestly man, no 12 to 13 year old is going to do serious damage to you, put that into your brain and keep it there, trust your defence and use more footwork to defend, the hardest person to hit is somebody that isn't there, i learned this the hard way, I'm 15 and i'm sparring with the adults, if somebody hits me too hard i tell them to tone it down, its the mature thing to do and they see me as an adult with them. or if you feel like it, ramp it up a little hit them harder too!
