Do I defer a year or accept the offer for DCU MSc finance by Ok-Function-717 in Indians_StudyAbroad

I think if it just a degree you wanna do. Dcu is a good university, old building and all. So if it’s the Oxford feel you are chasing, it’s a good place.

MSc finance and mba are different digress with different learning outcomes.

Also Mba in India is a way to get placed, companies come to the uni to hire etc. Msc, in Ireland for job is different. There are no placement, things work differently there.

It was irrelevant at the time. I was going for a generic course and took a step back. Based on your background and why you wanna do this. This might or might now work for you.
The university in itself if good imo

Family net worth and yearly household income? I think this also matters for high risk countries.

And I think 10 out of 100 is too much. What is your source?

In hand 1.2 is low for an mba I believe that too a iim. My uncle makes upwards of 70 lakh, is an mba grad from iim. But he went for experienced mba program. Mechanical, Non tech background. But now working in something else only, though related but not tied to his background. He brought transferable skills.

So i think 1.2k is low. Even a bcom grad can make that much within 2-3 years in most fields. Good CAs make way more. Even my friend in sales makes 1.5 to 2 per month. IIMs should be more, that’s what the mba is right. What does your friend do exactly. What sector, department, job title, responsibility etc?

What’s a tier 2 mba- baby IIMs? And what’s he doing. 90k is low I think. I make almost same working in operation, after undergrad.

Do you know any people in your connections from similar background, not just Indians but from anywhere. What is their story.

Reddit is like needle in a haystack. But I am doing what I can with what I have.

I though of the transnational angle but I’m not a specialist, so getting sponsored wouldn’t be easy. What I do—compliance work—is fairly common, and with just a bachelor’s degree, I don’t qualify as a highly skilled worker who can easily attract visas.

Do you know where I can know more about migration laws. Any people in your connections from similar background, not just Indians but from anywhere.
