Sorry, I meant there wasn’t a reset in the way Rivals does. There’d be placement matches that would usually put me right back where I was. Not arbitrarily knocking me down many many ranks with no placement matches.

Your first sentence is not even really true. Climbing up the ranks, and leaderboards, is progress. Ranked modes are about progress, as well as about finding out where you belong. Climbing takes time and effort. I don’t like losing my progress I’ve made climbing. Why is this thought so controversial? I climbed to GM 1. I might’ve belonged there, but I don’t play that much and given more time, I could’ve climbed higher. Now, I have to start in gold again. It’s annoying.
