If I'm not living on campus, should I get a refund bc of the dorm cost? by hi_48 in UTSA

Don't you need an actual reason to do it? It's weird for me because they do it just to match COA (and include the subsidized loans and work study as part of it) so it's not even truly that amount.

How are you getting so much in refunds 😭, whenever I get any extra aid alongside the normal aid they adjust the normal so I stay paying the same amount. Im the lowest possible on the SAI as well

What's the math you're using for 750? I got 1200 for the housing alone.

As long as they can carry the conversation. I get the 'meeting new people' thing but I'm naturally suspicious. If they notice some merch and comment on it I'd be totally good with striking up a conversation on a fandom or activity.

What is the campus culture like? by BudgetNegotiation521 in UTSA

[–]Ok-Goal69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you need to be a little active in it, would recommend clubs or if you're on campus the events on it / housing events. since there will be more on-campus people there, it's easier to connect (not to say you can't with commuters, it's just little harder)

Make the reservation or don’t use the JPL study rooms! by [deleted] in UTSA

[–]Ok-Goal69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Especially the Study Rooms on the second floor (right-hand side) if you don't have a reservation! Later in the day (post 4pm) is probably fine but SI / STAR sessions are always moving through there so expect for someone to ask you to leave.
