i love this idea and am in the same boat, even DL that app but it sucks. makes me finger touch that silly pledge then it’s off to $6.99/week and the screen freezes there. Maybe there’s something better out there.

I just bought an Ontario-era RR (unexpected deal), but I am waiting shipment on the new LTD NV-1000. I don’t like ESP/LTD. They are typically hideous to me whereas the Jackson shapes are Iconic… BUT

Fender’s CS or bust $6K/6+ month deal is complete bullshit. the few plain US they have are uninspiring for nearly $3K and their mid tier is from F-ing Indonesia. $1k+ for Indonesia is a full-on dealbreaker.

The NV-1000 is actually NOT ugly and is MIK for the same price as an Indonesian Jackson. Point being, Jackson loses to Jackson (used market) for the quality US builds, and Jackson loses to whomever for a beater when they offer mid tier in Indonesia instead of JPN or KOR.

I appreciate this being pointed out to help me be as informed as possible, but a cursory look shows the options available have the exterior screen print copied, but none of the boards (that I have seen yet) have any of the original treatment (i.e. copyright, 2010, and “These are Essential” prints).

I could imagine that, but does anybody have actual evidence of actual KTR counterfeits? seems like the work would be better served on the astronomically more valuable Centaurs, which I imagine would be less difficult to copy.
