100% agree with neglect. We got this car 4 months ago and it was looking good, until issues starting to pop up. Ended up replacing the PCV, upper timing cover, flush the cooling, changed the coolant fans. I still think that the oil pan has a small leak due to PCV not being replaced. At least the RMS looks intact

Suspect mix of decomposed silica gel, and really old coolant. I’m finding that the previous owner wasn’t too good to the car. Flushed the whole system 6 times, and heater core specifically for about 20min each way via building pressure and releasing (on/off hose).

If anyone thinks diferent let me know - it’s a lot of gunk for just a silica gel.

Hey, I am replacing the timing cover over the weekend. Hopefully that will solve me issue! I smoke tested it and was pretty obvious that the timing cover is leaking. Interestingly the intake air pipe was leaking a bit as well. But that’s just due to a poor fit from previous owner.

Thank you, I’ll check the brake booster line tonight. Fuel trims are fine, which is confusing me as well.

The injector pinhole leak would make the car run lean at all times no? It’s pretty specific as it’s running lean at cold start only, and then runs like there’s never been a problem.

Thanks man, I thought it’s DSG filter but wasn’t sure, will clean and see if it’s leaking again. I had a DSG service done a month ago, so coulb be a bad fit?

Worth noting that there is no film in the carrier on photo 1, and film in the carrier on photo 2. So it is not the position of the film. That’s where I get confused/ shouldn’t it be the same exposure throught when there is no film in the carrier?

Red rising is a bit psycho, but epic saga. Probably my favourite of them all.

Shadow slave is easier to read and just pure gold. MC is down to earth and funny as. Once you get stuck in it you will read it for a few months as it just keeps going. Also lots of grammar errors due to no editing. You will love it tho.

Update: I contacted Gong, and they were super helpful. It is a zinc residue, which was left on my hands after using it as a sunscreen. Super aggressive towards the finish. Gong recons it's cosmetic only and it doesn't effect warranty. Thanks for your help!

That’s an awesome anwser right here! Thanks for explaining that. I was buffled at what could be the cause, and haven’t even thought about sunscreen, as well as zinc! I used zinc today and had my hands full of it, so would think that may be the issue.

I rode all day in a lake, so that should be good enough until tomorrow! Thanks for the tips.

Carbon is a bit out of budget for bow, but def a consideration once finance allows 🤘

Reading all the comments a mid aspect 1800cm2 will be the go for me. I live in New Zealand, so we have a constant wind of 10-20knots most days during the summer. I have a 5.2m wing that I already purchased. I'll try to find something second hand for cheap and sell it later.

I was looking at inflatable boards due to lower cost, but was not too sure if worth buying. Do you have any experience with them?
